#tiptalk - productive ways to start your morning ♥

I am not a morning person, I never have been. I am a big lover of my duvet but recently I am feeling the need to be more productive in the early hours. Aside from being quite poorly this week, I have spent a lot of time listening to podcasts. I have never listened to podcasts before and my usual morning routine begins with an Ariana or Prince album but I have decided to switch things around. I thought for today's blog post, I could share with you a few new ways I am starting my day to be more productive and focused. I get distracted very easily so it can be a struggle for me to start the day right. 
I am not saying that I know these tips will make you successful but I personally feel more productive if I link these steps together. For me, the steps to being productive is a domino effect. If I start my day exercising, then eating healthy, reading, it will hopefully become a positive habit and I always feel better after doing these things and I think I can create great work, whether it is for my blog, Youtube or planning for the future. It is very true that you never regret visiting the gym or planning your day. Whether you want to feel productive before you tackle your job, finances, blog - I believe that starting your day right will put you on the right path. 
Eat something healthy for breakfast
Okay, this sounds pretty obvious but I am guilty of skipping breakfast or I just grab a cereal bar. I spent time this weekend cutting up strawberries and making this pretty cereal bowl and you know what? It was a lovely way to start the day. Simple yet effective. Whether you make a healthy smoothie or a dairy free cereal bowl, I think this is a great way to get energy and I feel so much better if I skip dairy. Although I love ordering a McDonald's breakfast, I don't want to feel guilty everyday for eating rubbish, oily food. I hate feeling bloated, sluggish and tired so my diet is a very important step for starting my morning correctly. 

Pause your favourite pop album
This concept is totally new to me, I didn't really understand the concept of a podcast but I walk 15 minutes in the morning to the train station so I have started to listen to motivational podcasts and wow - if you pick just one point to try from this list, pick this one. Swapping my regular music playlist for an inspirational podcast or audio book from Tony Robbins has been incredible for my mood, outlook and productivity in general. Lydia Elise Millen recently recorded a podcast for Mark Whittle, it is very inspiring to listen to. I have also started listening to more soothing music, whether it is an instrumental playlist from Hans Zimmer or piano covers of my favourite Disney songs, I am taking a pause from listening to my usual pop albums. If I am constantly walking all day, I can use that time to listen to something that will benefit  and inspire me. I love listening to calming piano videos that keep me relaxed and focused and it is a lovely way to start my day or to help me sleep in the evenings. 

Get your yoga mat out
This is a pretty straight forward tip but I rarely do it myself. Starting your day with a simple twenty minute exercise, whether it is yoga, ab work or meditation - this is a great way to start your morning and you will feel much better afterwards. If you have extra time, booking a class at your gym and finishing in the pool will make you feel very productive and positive. This will be my goal for next week once my flu disappears.
