Tobi - Penelope Green Plunging Maxi Dress* |
I
am very excited about today's blog post. It has been a while since I shared a
new fashion post and after shooting these photos at the weekend, I am very
happy with how they look. If you don't know, I am obsessed with glamorous
evening gowns so when I was contacted by the Los Angeles clothing brand Tobi, I
was seriously impressed with the dress section on their website.
Tobi - Layla Emerald Plunge Dress* |
I fell in love
with two particular dresses and both were a gorgeous emerald colour. I never
really wear green so I thought this would make a fun blog post. If you are
looking for a bold and daring plunge dress, you have come to the right place. I
am obsessed with velvet at the moment because it really reminds me of the
1950's.
I think velvet fabric can look very Hollywood and if you are looking
for a classic but slightly daring outfit, the Layla Emerald Plunging Maxi Dress
is a dream come true. The dress is available in emerald, plum and rose. The
next dress that I tried on is also an emerald number, I loved that this
particular dress has cape style sleeves and the plunge element is very bold but
I love that it brings me out of my comfort zone.
I decided to wear this dress
with a pair of nude heels, I usually wear sandal heels but I think the nude
stiletto heel goes pretty well this this dress style. I ordered a size XS and
it was very true to size, I love that the string on the dress can be altered if
you want a slightly looser fit. If you don't usually wear outfits that have a
deep plunge neckline, you can find really good tape to secure the dress into
place.
It means you don't have to worry about adjusting your outfit all night.
Luckily the Tobi dresses feel very secure and fit really nicely but if you want
that extra bit of support, tape is a great idea. I still find it strange taking blog posts with my shorter hair but I actually tried to curl it for once.
I created larger curls using my GHD's and for some reason my hair really reminds me of the 50's. A sleek ponytail would look amazing with a plunge dress and if you have any upcoming dinners or parties, I hope you will add emerald to your list! I hope you liked today's blog
post, as you can tell, I am now obsessed with emerald green outfits!
How would
you dress the Tobi outfits? Let me know what Tobi outfit is on your wish list
right now and if you would like me to style anything else with a daring neckline. Tobi currently have 50% off their party dress range so let me know if you find any outfits. Keep your eyes peeled for my next Tobi outfit post - it will include leather trousers and lace. Have a lovely evening girls ♥
Wow, that is such a beautiful dress! The neckline is stunning.
