conceal & chroming with make-up revolution ♥

Okay, lets talk about contouring and concealing. I would like to thank Kim Kardashian West for introducing me to the contour trend, many, many years ago. I have certainly noticed a difference with my skin when I am contoured, especially when I skip it. I just find that my skin looks more defined and pretty much photo shoot ready...even if I'm just popping to Topshop or KFC for 5 minutes. If you are looking for an airbrushed look, contouring is a great way to create definition. I was lucky enough to have the Revolution Pro HD Camouflage kit* sent from Make Up Revolution a few weeks ago so I was very curious to see if this would work as a concealer and a possible highlighter.
As you can see from the photos, some of the concealer shades are very light. I think they made a great highlighter and I hate seeing certain shades go to waste in a kit so its nice to be able to get different uses from it. Straight away when I opened the Make Up Revolution concealer kit, I was obsessed with the army print packaging - 90's Posh Spice would certainly love this! Like always, if you love products with a large mirror, Make Up Revolution is the brand for you. The kit is available is three different shades, medium suited my skin tone perfectly. For the Ultra Contour Duo Stick*, I have been testing the Medium shade. As you can see from my swatch, they really are pigmented and the formula is incredibly creamy without being too oily. I did have to warm the stick up before I swatched it.As you can see from my swatches, the medium shade is perfect for my skin tone, I recently used the Maybelline Contour V Shape Duo and the contour shade just wasn't dark enough for me so I'm very pleased with the Makeup Revolution contour shade. I recently saw a post from MAC make-up artist, Dominic Skinner, he was talking about chroming. He actually used a Mariah Carey lipstick as a highlighter and it certainly made the models cheekbones pop. The Makeup Revolution Ultra Chroming Duo* is a cheaper alternative to a MAC lipstick and for £5.00 you can use the chroming duo on your cheekbones, brow bone and even a lipstick base. I love how vibrant the swatches are! What do you think of the chroming trend? If you are looking for more freedom with your skin routine, Makeup Revolution are certainly budget friendly.

  1. I love the look of the contour stick! I have been enjoying cream contouring lately so this looks ideal xx
