the oud milano event ♥

Hi girls, I hope you are having a lovely start to your Friday. If you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen that I attended the Oud Milano event a few weeks ago. Oud Milano has recently opened a store on Oxford Street, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to the beauty launch and I had the chance to receive a make over using the Oud Milano range. We all know I am make-up obsessed and the Oud Milano products are known for intense pigmentation - another reason why I was so excited to attend the event!

food time - CAU ♥

Last weekend Ollie and I made our way to Blackheath to celebrate our second anniversary together. We were toying with the idea of going to London but we were looking for somewhere with a more cosier vibe without the use of trains. Fifteen minutes later, the cab whisked us away and we were already at our destination - CAU. I am usually quite hesitant when it comes to choosing resturants without researching the menu first, especially when I am not a steak fan but I trusted Ollie's pick and I was certainly not disappointed. We arrived slightly early but this meant we were able to walk around and take blog photos - I was very happy with this. You can see my outfit here.

animal print with asos ♥

Dress: ASOS Heels: Primark Bag: Zara
I feel like I've been in a style rut recently, I am always drifting towards a tight fitted summer dress or a black vest top and leggings. I really feel like my style is very basic at the moment and of course there is nothing wrong with this but I really miss patterns. I miss wearing floaty dresses and wild animal print, so while I was browsing through ASOS last week, I spotted a dress that really stood out to me. It was certainly a style I hadn't worn before but I thought I would see what it looked like. I was not disappointed, especially because its actually a beach dress.

#tiptalk - road trip safety ♥

I am counting down the days until Ollie and I travel to Alicante and Valenica. This year we are actually hiring a car when we land and I'm pretty excited to explore Spain! I thought in true Fairytale Kiss style I would write a post about the in's and outs of our holiday, including when we take a long road trip. Before I post about this holiday, I want to talk about a certain blog post. I recently wrote a post about passing my driving test so I think a road trip safety post fits nicely together! We are also planning a few UK based road trips so I wanted to do a little research if I took my car. I've only just started driving on the motorway and I didn't really feel that prepared when it came to understanding the technical part of my car.

aldi coastal interior range ♥

ALDI door mat*
It has been a while since I spoke about my love for interior shopping. With summer in full swing I was over the moon when an email from ALDI landed in my inbox. When I was a student, I would spend my entire life in ALDI and ASDA walking down the aisles, I can't believe the hidden gems you can find and I am so excited that ALDI have launched the Coastal interior collection! If you've been following my blog for a while then you will know that I love simple, classic designs.

l'oreal professional hair fashion night ♥

Last week I made my way to the L'Oreal Professional Hair Fashion night, located at the House of Rush salon in London, I arrived with my sister and we were welcomed with Prosecco and an ice cream machine - which she certainly had fun with. We were guided around the room and shown a few new products and as 6.00pm arrived, I made my way upstairs for my hair appointment. One of the lovely L'Oreal stylists kindly styled my hair with tight curls. She used GHD's to create a tight curl, backcombed the roots and then used the L'Oreal Professional Infinium hairspray* to set everything into place.

make-up revolution renaissance palettes ♥

When it comes to beauty products, I love finding hidden gems. I really admire brands for pushing the envelope and creating something a little bit different. We see so many different beauty products, whether we are popping into Boots or flicking through Instagram - pretty product packaging is everywhere. When Make-Up Revolution kindly posted this package through my door, I was excited to say the least. The Revolution Renaissance palettes* have certainly pushed the boundaries for eyeshadow palettes, I love that the brand took an extra step to style these palettes differently. Their hard work has certainly paid off in the luxury packaging department, but what about the actual product quality?

#tiptalk - finding a wedding venue ♥

A few days ago I wrote about planning a hen do, I thought today I would write a nice little post about finding your wedding venue! This falls under the budget friendly option aswell so I thought the two posts would work together nicely and hopefully useful for some of you reading! When I began searching for wedding venues, a Bedfordshire wedding venue* really stood out to me. Not only is the location easy to get to but the venue is simply stunning! To start your wedding venue hunt, knowing the amount of guests is essential. I would personally buy a wedding planer book and sit down with your fiance to work out the guest list.

fitness with origym ♥

My brother has been glued to the revolving gym door for as long as I can remember. While he is thinking about his career for the future, he is also considering a career as a personal trainer. I love that we have so much choice when it comes to jobs and it makes sense to do something we are passionate about. From joining the gym almost a year ago, I can certainly see why personal training is such a popular career option at the moment. It certainly looks satisfying making people feel better about themselves - similar to a make-up artist or a beauty therapist. When I was contacted by Origym* I was really excited to write this post especially when quite a few of you will be looking at your career options after finishing your exams. Origym can actually provide you with training to become a successful gym trainer.

#tiptalk - planning a hen do ♥

It has been on my to do list to write a blog post about my Las Vegas hen do trip for quite a while now. This year I have seen so many engagements and if you are planning a stag or hen do but can't afford to spend your life savings on a flight to a jazzy destination, North London may be the answer to your prayers. I actually ordered a few party bits from Last Night of Freedom last month and they have just created a survey to find out exactly where the most popular location is for a hen do and stag do! The answer? Newcastle! A Newcastle based wedding venue named Cairn Hotel Group have created a super easy guide for planning a stag and hen do. I have added a few extra tips and tricks from my Vegas hen do too.

#tiptalk - learning how to drive ♥

Hi girls I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I thought it would be an interesting idea to write a post about driving. I have had this blog post on my to do list for a while and Pass 'N' Go* is a great way to get you started. Now, learning how to drive is not always a simple task. I am living proof of this. It actually took me 6 times until I passed my driving test - this wasn't because I wasn't prepared enough but my nerves were constantly getting the better of me. For some reason, as soon as I stepped into the car I would begin to feel sick, nervous and at one point, I stopped the test completely before I even started.

instagram shopping list ♥

I don't know about you, but I hardly ever browse the shops anymore. I tried to find a few swimsuits in H&M and River Island yesterday and it felt like a jumble sale. I couldn't find my size and half of the clothes had lipstick on them. Not really the shopping experience I was hoping for. I personally find it much easier and less hassle to shop online. For my Vegas holiday, I relied on Instagram to help me find shops and it certainly made my outfit planning a lot easier. DLM*, Letterbox Distribution have actually rounded up a few Instagram shops that can help with your holiday shopping list. Pretty nifty right? I thought it would be nice to put together my favourite items from each shop. Let's get started!

food time - the chancery ♥

With the sun finally making an appearance, I think you will find the British public trying to make the most of the weather. I will be 100% honest, I am really not a fan of pubs. I try to avoid them like the plague because I personally prefer restaurants. When Beckenham opened The Chancery in 2014, I would casually walk past the building and often gaze at the large crowds of people enjoying their drinks outside. Fast forward three years and I have now become one of them. I went to The Chancery last weekend with Ollie and his friends. I wasn't aware that The Chancery is actually the first Gastropub in the Beckenham area so I was raring to see the menu. Be warned, we ordered quite a lot.

#tiptalk - binning your life plan ♥

Trousers: Boohoo Top: Urban Chic Outlet
Hi girls, I hope you are having a lovely week and you are enjoying the sunshine. I feel like I've been really clicking 'publish, publish, publish' on the product reviews lately so I thought it would be nice to have a relaxed chat today. After I turned 26 last month, I started to think about how close I am to 30 now. No, I am not worried about turning 30, I watched 13 going on 30 religiously growing up and I am really looking forward to it. Rewind back to almost 10 years ago, I remember writing in my year book and writing a small quote about what I wanted out of life - where I saw my life in 10 years. I remember exactly what I wrote. "In 10 years time I hope I have a fabulous husband like Jack Dawson and my life is like Jenna Rink from 13 going on 30." Yes, I actually wrote that. A lot has happened since then and I quite admire the innocence of my yearbook quote.

missguided babe power fragrance ♥

It is safe to say that Missguided are growing year by year. I think I first started blogging about Missguided in 2009/2010 and I recently wrote a brand spotlight on the Stratford store. It is pretty amazing watching one of your favourite brands expand and a perfume launch was such a lovely surprise! Babe Power is certainly a unique twist on other perfumes on the market right now. Just by looking at the perfume, straight away you can see the bottle is inspired by the Girl Power vending machines that can be found in the Stratford store. I love that you can actually spray the perfume by pressing the bottle cap design.

louis vuitton vertigo sunglasses ♥

Although the weather is pretty miserable today, summer is finally here and I think it's the perfect time to look for sunglasses. I think I'm pretty particular when it comes to sunglasses so when my sister brought back the Vertigo Louis Vuitton sunglasses from France, they certainly got my stamp of approval. Louis Vuitton has been one of my favourite designers for quite a while now, I personally prefer the iconic monogram pattern and when I first saw the sunglasses, I instantly noticed this pattern on the arms.

soigne nail range ♥

I feel like a very old school blogger right now. I recently re-ordered a few nail wheels so I could properly demonstrate nail polishes for my blog posts. I remember buying nail wheels when I first started blogging and I think they look much nicer than using my own nails for photos. That being said, I do test out the products on my nails previously to see how long lasting they are. When a Soigne* package arrived through my door, I was very excited. 1. I could finally use my new nail wheels and 2. I have heard rave, rave reviews about Soigne. The brand actually uses 85% plant-sourced ingredients and their brand is actually inspired by Parisian fashion - pretty fancy, right?

missguided leopard print maxi ♥

I have always had a strong obsession with leopard print. There can be a risk of the fabric appearing too harsh or tacky but when worn the right way, I personally think it looks flawless. Before my trip to Las Vegas last month, I made my way to the Missguided Stratford store, (you can find my brand spotlight post here), to hunt for swimsuits. Of course I ended up with countless clothes in my hand and none of them began with the letter 'S'. I spotted the Missguided maxi dress by the entrance, it was on a mannequin and it was paired with edgy boots. I immediately found the rail with the leopard print dresses on and I quickly grabbed my size and ran to the changing rooms.

quiz clothing wish list ♥

As usual I am in the mood for shopping and it has been a while since I made a wish list post, I really find them useful and hopefully you do too! Quiz* is a firm favourite in my books, they really have your wardrobe needs covered. I love that you can find something super dressy for a wedding or if you want something sexy and glam for the evening, they have multiple options for you. Going out dresses are usually my favourite area to shop in, I thought the nude/pink colour palette is a perfect choice for the weather and I wanted to include a mixture of day dresses and maxi dresses. My favourite dress has to be the Stone Bardot Double Frill bodycon dress, I certainly think you can dress this up with heels or dress it down with wedges. What do you think of my picks? I would love to know what Quiz item you would add to your wardrobe? ♥

the teagime teatox ♥

I'll be honest, since I've returned back from Las Vegas my healthy lifestyle has gone out the window. My gym card is now collecting dust and chocolate twists are now my breakfast of choice. It's a beautiful and fabulous way to return back from your holiday, especially when you've been dieting and gyming for months and months. I think it's nice to spend some time relaxing and enjoying yourself now and then. A month has gone past since I stepped into my gym and my stomach has returned as my main problem area, food just attaches itself to my waist and I bloat just by looking at rice, bread or cheese. I will blow the dust off my gym card this week but I wanted to let you in on my little secret for helping with my stomach, say hello to Teagime.*

life update #005 ♥

I feel like I am almost on top of my emails now and my room is finally complete! I will actually be able to blog properly and hopefully create some inspiring content. Excuse the very big pout, Ollie took me out for my birthday last weekend and I finally managed to take some outfit photos. The top is from Urban Chic Outlet and I have literally been obsessed with it, especially when I can dress it down with my Boohoo trousers. I'll be doing a separate post about this outfit next week though. For today's post, I wanted to talk about turning 26 and what new goals I'm setting myself. I've realised how important it is to set yourself new goals and targets frequently.

the skinfix range ♥

I am so excited to write this post, when you get the chance to review an entire skin care routine it is pretty amazing because you really get an overall experience and understanding of the brand. Skinfix* is a Canadian brand that specialises in natural ingredients but they also use vitamins and dermatologists to provide great results for your skin. I had actually heard of Skinfix a few months ago when I saw that Kate Middleton is a fan. If you want a simple and basic breakdown of the ingredients, you can actually find a list explaining what SkinFix use and they also talk about what ingredients they skip, including any fragrance and alcohol.

a white summer with rosegal ♥

I feel like my style is constantly changing at the moment. If you would have shown this see through dress* to me a few months ago, I would have looked pretty confused. I have always dressed quite similar - black leather trousers and a fitted strap top; that is my go to outfit. Tight, black and very 90's. When RoseGal contacted me to try one of their outfits, I decided to go with something completely out of my comfort zone. Why not? I don't want to be in a style rut forever and I think it would be nice for you to see me in something different, especially now I am focusing on more fashion posts. I think I succeeded with this task. I couldn't imagine wearing a dress like this, it is very girly and pretty and...well, the total opposite of my dress sense, but I am in love. I am officially in summer mode right now!

yoins summer wish list ♥

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
It is no secret that I am a sucker for summer outfits. Yes, I love winter but nothing beats a cute maxi dress or a white floaty skater dress with sandals. I personally find summer outfits easy to wear and you really are surrounded with options. I was recently contacted by Yoins*, a very trendy website. They asked me to put together my dream summer wish list and I jumped at the chance. I was amazed at the wide variety of fashion dresses available on the website. It was pretty hard to choose my favourite so I hope you like my options. I first picked the white cut out dress, I love how simple the design is and I would definitely a pair this with some wedges or sandals.

my TLC lip routine ♥

I've been wearing a lot of liquid lipsticks lately and quite frankly...they look awful on me. Don't get me wrong, the formulas are always lovely, (Primark have a pretty snazzy range out right now), but my lips have not been very cooperative. I have always seen makeup as paint and my face as a canvas. Prepping and maintaining your face (aka; the canvas) is so important for your make-up (aka; the paints) to reach its full potential. Sadly, my lips were really letting me down - the weather has made them very dry and I've been feeling quite anxious recently so I have been constantly biting and picking my lips - a very gross and annoying habit I have. When I applied my lip liner and liquid lipsticks, they looked incredibly flaking and this really highlighted my chapped lips.

food time - gilgamesh ♥

If you are new to reading Fairytale Kiss, then you may not know that I have started branching out and writing food reviews. Yes, I will always write about beauty and fashion but I really appreciate food and I spend a large portion of my time taking food photos. I think actually talking about restaurants is the next logical step! You can read my previous food reviews here. Nestled in the heart of Camden, Gilgamesh has been on my list for quite some time.  A few weeks ago, Ollie and I made our way up to Camden and decided to have dinner at the restaurant.

the wedgwood afternoon tea launch ♥

Last Tuesday I made my way to Peter Jones in Sloane Square, as you all know I spend a fair amount of time in Peter Jones so I was very excited to be invited to the Wedgwood launch to see the new pop up area. Praised for luxurious taste and style, Wedgwood have launched an afternoon tea section on the ground floor in Peter Jones. With a lavishly decorated seating area, you can select breakfast, lunch and a selection of Wedgwood teas while enjoying the beautiful interior. When I arrived at the event, the waiters welcomed me with Prosecco and fruity cocktails, inspired by the Wedgwood flavours.
