lash extensions at reveal salon ♥


Hi girls, I am really excited to talk about today's review. The lovely Yasmin contacted me last week and asked me whether I was interested in reviewing her lash extension treatment*. I was hesitant at first because 1. my eyes are incredibly sensitive and they flutter like crazy and 2. I had a bad experience getting my lashes done at a previous salon. I definitely believe in trying things again and it is safe to say I didn't regret saying yes to seeing Yasmin. Located in the heart of Farringdon, the Reveal salon is a simple five minute walk from the station. As I walked up to the salon door I instantly saw the clear, silver name 'Reveal' on the wall and I was pretty impressed that I hadn't got lost. After walking into the salon, I was greeted with a big smile from Yasmin, we instantly clicked and when it came to setting up my lash extension session, she made me feel relaxed and calm - despite my eyes fluttering 1000mph.

For salon visits, the beautician plays a big role for me - I think we all want to visit a salon to unwind, not just to have a beauty treatment. I definitely like to have time to switch off and just feel pampered at the same time, although this sounds simple enough, I have had many treatments where I just can't relax but Yasmin certainly made me feel right at home. She first asked me what lash style I wanted, I instantly regretted not having a photo on my phone but as soon as I said Kim Kardashian, she instantly knew the look I wanted, I definitely recommend taking lash photo's with you before your appointment, it really makes things easier for your beautician. I made sure all my eye make-up was off and I sat back on the beauty bed and let Yasmin start her magic. The treatment lasted for about 1 hour and 30 minutes and with gentle, spa music playing in the background I really did get time to sit back and relax.

Yasmin began gluing the individual lashes to my eyes, after securing my lashes with tape. What I loved about Yasmin was her attention to detail, she is quite the perfectionist and she made sure both of my eyelashes looked even and that the lashes opened up my eyes. It really did feel like a personal consultation and she took the time to find out what my personal beauty style is like. After she had added the lashes, we waited for them to dry and I headed home with an aftercare kit packed with tips and tricks. The aftercare information is pretty important, especially when it comes to the first 48 hours. I was told to keep my lashes dry and to avoid standing outside in the cold weather for too long. It is day seven with my lashes and I am completely in love, I feel confident and I love waking up with long lashes, it is lovely skipping mascara for a change! They don't feel heavy or uncomfortable and they still look fluttery a week later! urtekram - vegan shampoo and conditioner ♥


On Sunday I did a brief first impressions video on my Fairytale Kiss IG story about the Urtekram Coconut shampoo* and conditioner*. If you are looking for a vegan brand, I definitely recommend you stick around for this review, especially if you have oily hair like me. I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner Sunday and I am so, so surprised how soft my hair feels today - usually if I wash my hair the two mornings before, it starts to feel slightly greasy. My hair type is quite annoying, I constantly need heat to style my hair because it turns into a giant frizz ball but then it always becomes oily. I woke up today and my hair still looked fresh and it certainly didn't look frizzy. 

I'm not too sure what the ingredients are for shampoo's but I love that the Urtekram brand uses organic ingredients, including coconut nectar, aloe vera and daisy flower extract. I found the lids easy to open and I may have squeezed a tiny bit more product into my hair than usual but I was surprised that the shampoo was foamy - I don't know why but I automatically thought vegan and organic = foam free. The scent is a very fresh coconut smell and it isn't overpowering whatsoever. I left the conditioner on my hair for about 3 minutes and it certainly had a lovely formula and texture to it. Overall, I am really impressed with the Urtekram coconut products, I am still shocked that my hair feels fresh and clean even though I was constantly touching and styling my hair yesterday! interior wish list ♥

By the time I am 75 years old, I will have probably have just bought my first home. As I slowly save for a deposit, I think torturing myself with an interior shopping list is a perfect way to imagine my future house. Living in London is a hard task if you want to move out from your parents house but this does give me extra time to look at Tumblr and imagine what my dream house would look like. I've put together a selection of interior items that I would love to have, if you are lucky enough to have your own flat or house then please shop for me! A large majority of these items are based in America so they may be slightly expensive if you live in the UK but hopefully this will provide you with some inspiration and my USA readers can get shopping!

My top picks definitely include the Jo Malone London Basil & Neroli scented candle, I feel like every house needs a Jo Malone candle, I would never light it and it would really just sit there for decoration on my future coffee table but you get my point. I am also loving the Oval Rocco Mirror, I currently have a black mirror very similar to this style but I would love to have the Rocco mirror above my dressing table, it is very 1950's! From looking at my picks, I really do like simple grey, white and nude interior items whether I'm talking about cushions or coffee books. threads lash range ♥

Lashes are certainly in high demand right now, whether you are flicking through InStyle or scrolling on the Daily Mail, celebs are certainly flying the lash flag. I have always said that if I had to have one make-up product on a desert island it would have to be a set of false lashes. They definitely make me appear more awake and I am obsessed with fluttery styles. I was so excited to receive two lashes from the Threads range last week*. Strip lashes instantly add glamour without being too fiddly and after opening up the packaging for the Rock Chic and Celestial style lashes, I was certainly not disappointed by the quality. I personally find it easier applying lashes with a thin strip base and the Rock Chic lashes certainly blended in well with my natural lashes, I didn't even need to use liquid liner to blend the glue in to my natural lash line! 

The two styles I received are called Rock Chic and Celestial, as you can see Celestial is slightly more bold but the lashes are actually shorter and more defined. I absolutely loved the Rock Chic design, they are subtle and wispy and they didn't look to overpowering on my eyes. When it came to applying the glue to my lashes, I was really surprised how easy and fast the formula was, I usually throw away lash glue and just use my Eylure tube but I am definitely keen on the Threads glue formula. You can find out more about Threads product range here, they also sell an impressive set of brow pencils and eyeliners too. skinny tan and tone oil ♥

It's usually around this time of year that I start feeling sluggish and well...my "winter bod" starts to make an unwanted appearance. It is definitely my fault that this winter routine happens and for some reason I just lose any interest to tan, eat cold salads and pretty much do anything exercise related. This year I am full of change and motivation to keep fit, healthy and to pamper myself more. I've got a pretty good skincare routine sorted now (you can read my post about this here) and I think tanning is the next big step. I don't think anyone can deny that having a warm, healthy tan is an instant feel good factor and it just adds the cherry on the top for any beauty routine. I have always heard such positive reviews about the Skinny Tan brand and when they contacted me to try their latest launch, I jumped at the chance. With all of my reviews, I am 100% honest and I have been a fan of the Skinny Tan look and brand mission for a few years now!

Skinny Tan is actually a huge hit in Australia and the two women behind the brand were featured on Dragon's Den. The brand mission is to create a flawless tan while also improving the condition of your skin - in particular - reducing cellulite. I am certainly no stranger to cellulite, especially on my legs so I definitely think this range has a great concept by combining tan and guarana berries. For the Skinny Tan and Tone oil*, the directions are pretty straight forward and after stepping out of the shower and lightly drying myself, I gently applied the oil using the tanning mitt. I was really surprised how soft and smooth the tanning mitt was! Usually I'm used to using sponge based mitts but this mitt has a soft, suede like fabric on the main sleeve. 

The application was instantly different compared to using my regular sponge/foam tanning mitt. The formula is pretty impossible for creating any streaks, so if you have had a bad history tanning or if you are new to the tanning band wagon, I definitely recommend starting with the tanning oil. I was actually really surprised that the formula didn't feel sticky, I personally prefer oils but I know they take hours to absorb into your skin -  I was pretty impressed that the Skinny Tan oil worked with my skin rather than against it and the colour developed without a strong tan smell! I will have to keep using the tan to see how my cellulite reacts to the formula, so I will create an IG video to keep you updated. Have you tried Skinny Tan before? crazy bear hotel - stadhampton ♥

If you've been following me on Instagram for a while, then you may remember that I visited Crazy Bear in Stadhampton in early May, near my birthday. My boyfriend decided to book Crazy Bear for one of my birthday presents and he drove us up to Stadhampton to relax. Last week my sister visited Crazy Bear too and while asking me questions about the hotel it dawned on me that this might be a helpful blog post for anyone thinking about visiting. For some background information about Crazy Bear, the brand was created in 1993 and they have two different hotels, one in Stadhampton and one in Beaconsfield. They also have a bar and a restaurant in Fitzrovia, but this isn't a hotel. If you are struggling to decide between Stadhampton and Beaconsfield, Stadhampton is more country based, it is located near quiet fields but it is only a 20 minute drive from Bicestor shopping village. The Beaconsfield hotel has a city inspired theme throughout the rooms and decor and it also includes an outdoor heated swimming pool. 

When Ollie and I arrived at Stadhampton (which was a really easy and relaxing journey to get to from South London) we were taken to the reception area...a giant, double decker bus. The inside was decked out with velvet and we were greeted with a gold bottle of champagne and taken to our room. Now, when I say room...I mean a giant house. Compared to a regular hotel, you would expect the layout to be a generic aisle of doors but our suite looked similar to a lavish mansion. We were taken inside a large cottage style house and taken to a faux snake print door. I don't think I was really prepared to see the suite, I had looked at photo's before we arrived and they certainly didn't do the room justice. The ceiling was quilted with soft cream, padded wall panels and the floor was decked in a shiny leather fabric. When I stopped gazing at the ceiling and walls, I was instantly drawn to the enormous bath at the end of the white double bed. 

The host gave us a detailed tour of the room and the features, including how to use the bath and how to change the bath to a jacuzzi setting, the most unique feature was the water pouring from the ceiling! In total we had a bath at the end of the double bed, a sofa, wardrobe, drawers and a private bathroom, located at the back of the room. There was certainly enough space to store your clothes and the TV was perfectly positioned above the bath. Ollie and I relaxed and unpacked and we began to get ready for dinner, we had booked the Crazy Bear Thai restaurant and we were certainly in for a treat. Once we had got ready, we took a five minute walk through the beautiful terrace (this included lavish water features and fresh, green plants) then we walked through a cosy bar and made our way to the Thai restuarant section. The walls were decorated in a warm, orange suede fabric and white masks were placed within the suede material. The tables were created using large, gold plates and we had plenty of room to get comfortable. In total we had twelve dishes, they were brought out quickly and my gin and tonic was forever being topped up, (woops!). The atmosphere and food was incredible, I have said the same sentence over and over again since we left: 'The Thai restaurant is probably one of my top three meals that I have ever eaten in my life.' I cannot express how amazing the food was and although this list is slightly different, our 12 dishes consisted of:

  • Crispy seaweed
  • Steamed edamame, Japanese chilli powder and rock salt
  • Shrimp crackers, sweet chilli dipping sauce
  • Grade A Argentinian Wagyu beef tartar, mini taco shells and wasabi
  • Modern style seabass sashimi, ponzu sauce
  • Roasted mandarin cherry valley duck
  • Honey roasted loin of Gloucestershire old spot pork
  • Crispy belly of Gloucestershire Old Spot Pork served on baicai, pickled ginger and premium soy chilli dipping sauce
  • Lobster pad thai noodles
  • Wok fried aubergine, black bean sauce
  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • Chilli and valrhona chocolate torte, tonka bean ice cream (At the time we visited the hotel, we had rhubarb cheesecake)
The next morning we checked out around 11.00am and we made our way to Bicester and we spent the rest of the afternoon shopping, this is definitely a good option to make the most of your stay at Crazy Bear in Stadhampton. Overall my thoughts about Crazy Bear could not be better, it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I felt completely pampered my entire stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful. It is definitely worth the hype! felicities press day ♥




Last night I travelled to the Liverpool Street area to attend the Felicities PR press event. The team were kind enough to invite me down and because I'm branching out into more food, drink and well being sections on Fairytale Kiss, I was really excited to see popular brands on the market right now. As I made my way up the stairs there were different sections displayed around the room, I first walked towards a brand called Ugly. Although the name is unique, the drinks are far from ugly, in fact they are pretty perfect if you are trying to kick a fizzy drink addiction! The cans contain sparkling water and they are mixed with a touch of fruit juice. I tried the grapefruit and pineapple flavour and I thought it was quite refreshing, I can see this being a big hit with fizzy drink lovers who are trying to cut down. The ingredients are 100% natural so I definitely see the brand as a healthy alternative compared to drinks packed with sweeteners. The next stand I looked at was Jealous Sweets - I absolutely loved the magpie logo instantly and I'm impressed that the sweet range is suitable for vegetarians and the sweets are gluten free and free from artificial colours. The Grizzly Bears were certainly my favourite sweets, I couldn't stop eating them. 

I was then handed a fresh gin and tonic (my favourite choice) and I quickly caught the eye of Well & Truly tortilla chips, a gluten free crisp with 40% less fat, this was certainly a popular section! I tried the cheese flavour tortillas and I found them really light but still really tasty, it's nice that brands can appeal to gluten free diets while still keeping a great taste to the product line. When it came to the clothes I absolutely loved the Sports Philosophy range, as you know from my IG and Twitter, I have started going to the gym more frequently now so I was really keen to look at the gym range. They had a beautiful fuchsia pink sports bra and trousers, this was definitely my favourite set from the collection. Every 10% of Sports Philosophy profits actually goes towards the Freedom for Children Foundation which is definitely a plus. It was a really great evening and it was interesting to see popular brands offering new and quirky products. get the look - kourtney kardashian angel ball ♥

After seeing the photo's of Kourtney and Khloe at the Angel Ball in New York last night, I had to create a get the look for Kourtney. She has always been one of my favourite Kardashian's because her style always looks effortless but still very put together. For the lips, I would outline them using the Barry M lip liner in Blush then I would actually combine the Barry M highlighter and Tanya Burr lip gloss to create a similar gold glossy lip. The eyelashes really caught my attention when I was researching this look, I am certain she is wear lash extensions/individual lashes, to create the look I would definitely use the KISS Haute Couture Trio Lashes for extra definition. For Kourtney's hair, grab some extensions and your straighteners! I think the Ego Professional Big Ego straighteners would create the perfect smoothness, I have the heated rollers from the range and the quality is incredible. I would certainly add a hair serum and hairspray to your hair after straightening because it will add shine and reduce frizz. What do you think of Kourtney's look? jewlr necklace ♥

A few weeks ago, I attended the Jewlr event in London. After being greeted with canapes and prosecco, I was taken around the room and shown the different collections, you can see the full post here. I was lucky enough to have the name necklace* delivered to my house and straight away I felt like Carrie Bradshaw! primark ps pro oval brushes ♥

If you spend hours watching beauty videos on IG and Youtube like me, then you will know all about the Artis brushes. I have seen them everywhere and I am super late to the party but I finally found an affordable dupe version from Primark! They can be pretty pricey so I was very happy when I found the two brushes in London a few weeks ago. Oval brushes are everywhere and the unique way of blending in foundation and contour has really been popular so I wanted to see if the Primark range would live up to the high-results. The original brushes are roughly £50-£280 each so you can imagine how excited I was to find the two Primark dupe brushes for £4.00 and £2.50 each. Packaging wise, Primark never really do back flips about their packaging but if you spend £2.50 on a make-up brush, I don't think you should expect YSL gold foil boxes. When it came to actually feeling the bristles, I was incredibly impressed. I haven't felt the £50 oval brushes but I was really surprised how soft and stable the Primark bristles felt. 

As I applied foundation to my face, I began using the larger, oval foundation brush to gently buff my foundation. I do think it's important that you use a primer or moisturiser before trying to blend your foundation in because the bristles felt quite dry on my skin so adding a drop of oil (like the IG videos) and also adding moisturiser on my skin really made a difference for blending my make-up in. For the smaller concealer brush I was impressed with the size because I could really blend my light contour under my eye area, because the handles are plastic I was quite cautious not to apply too much pressure onto the brushes too. Overall, I am very happy with the brushes, no they don't have a snazzy rose gold design but the bristles certainly blend your make-up very well but oil or moisturiser is needed too. netflix - the tearjerker playlist ♥

A few weeks ago I put together a list of my favourite feel good TV shows on Netflix but today I wanted to write about a few films, shows and documentaries that really made me cry or feel really emotional. Yes, this isn't a cheery list but I think it's nice to watch something dramatic sometimes and just a disclaimer, I do want to feature a few shows/films/documentaries on here that aren't available to view on Netflix. So grab your tissues and popcorn and get ready for my list. I hope you like my picks, let me know what are your favourites and if you have any recommendations!
Dear Zachary
Where do I start with this documentary, I first watched Dear Zachary while I was in my second year of university, it was 2010 (wow, 6 years ago...I'm old) and I can't remember exactly how I heard about it but lets just say this was the first documentary that really stuck with me. To this day, I am still stunned at how sad the story is and I can't believe this really happened. I don't want to give away any spoilers but the documentary follows Kurt Kuenne, a film maker. His best friend Dr. Andrew Bagby is murdered and he decides to make a documentary to collect footage of Bagby family. You find out why he is doing this at the start but things take an unexpected turn for the worst and the documentary jumps to a shocking level that will leave you speechless. The editing is incredible and it certainly keeps you glued to your screen. 
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 2, Becoming Part 2 
Okay, I had to put this episode in. No, it isn't available on Netflix anymore but this particular Buffy episode had to be mentioned. I have probably seen this episode 4054056 times and I always feel upset everytime I watch it. If you aren't familiar with the Buffy and Angel saga, (close your eyes for spoilers here...) after Buffy sleeps with Angel (a vampire with a soul) for the first time, he reverts back to Angelus and spends his time trying to kill Buffy and her friends. As season 2 comes to an end, Angelus tries to open a portal to a demon dimension but Buffy stops him and just as she is about to kill him, Willow casts a spell, restoring Angel's soul. It is a heartbreaking moment where Buffy has to choose between Angel and saving the world. I think you can guess how this episode ends... 
P.S., I Love You
Okay, I am going to say this. I hate chick flicks, I would rather spend my time watching a good gangster film (hey, what a great idea for my next Netflix playlist...) but there is the occasional chick flick that catches my attention. P.S., I Love You is definitely on top of that teary, chick flick list. I feel like I just need to type Gerrard Butler and nothing else needs to be said but I guess I'll start with the actual film plot. Holly Kennedy (played by Hilary Swank) is grieving her husband, Gerry, (Gerrard Butler). She feels incredibly lost but before passing away, Gerry arranges letters for Holly and she spends her new life trying to find herself again. It's definitely worth adding to your film list!
Amy
As far as I am aware, Amy is not streaming on Netflix but I definitely recommend you find this documentary. I will be completely honest with you right now. When Amy Winehouse died, I really wasn't surprised, yes I thought it was terribly sad and her death was a tragic waste but I didn't know the full extent of how tragic Amy's rise to stardom really was. I have always had her Back to Black album on my iPod but it wasn't until I watched Amy that I really felt struck by Amy's death. This documentary made realise how fragile Amy's life was and her self destructive nature was amplified by the media and her surroundings. This definitely has to be one of best documentaries that I have watched this year. The instrumental created by Antonio Pinto is incredibly haunting and it really leaves you feeling shocked and troubled about Amy's demise.

I cannot express how excited I am about the skinChemists range. I have always believed that skin care should feel glamorous and this has certainly been captured throughout the Wild Caviar collection. I have been lucky enough to test the Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser*, Advanced Caviar Facial Serum* and the Advanced Caviar Night Moisturiser* and each product has a strong peach scent. I'm don't know about you but I have not really tried many peach scented creams so I was pleasantly surprised, the scent is rich and light without smelling sickly or cheap. 

I first tried the Advanced Caviar Night Moisturiser before going to sleep, I removed my make-up then I gently applied four small dabs of the cream on my forehead, cheeks and chin. I slowly massaged the cream into my skin and I really found the formula easy to blend, it had a soft and creamy texture but what stood out the most for me was the finished look. I was really surprised to see my skin didn't look oily from the cream, my skin tone looked naturally even and matte - for once! As you all know, I struggle with oily skin and moistursers and serums tend to increase this but I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked with my skin. With all of my reviews, I am completely truthful and with the skinChemist range, I can honestly say that this has to be one of my top 3 skin brands that I have ever tried. 

I am absolutely blown away by the gorgeous texture, packaging and the smell. Yes, the range may be on the pricey side but I do think you get more than what you pay for. get the look - lucky mecklenburgh - barry m ♥

As soon as I saw Lucy's latest look, I thought bronze, bronze, bronze. She usually wears quite neutral, brown tones so I love that she added a subtle twist by using a shimmery, copper shade for eyeshadow. Last Wednesday, Lucy Mecklenburgh attended the Boux Avenue fashion event for the autumn/winter collection. By looking at photo's I can see that she has used a lot of highlighter but she is also wearing a very matte brown lipstick to balance the shimmer eyeshadow out. Like my Michelle Keegan post, I wanted to stick to their favourite brands, so Barry M seems like a perfect choice to re-create Lucy's look. I'm not sure on the exact products that were used on Lucy but Barry M have such an impressive range out right now.

I certainly swear by their black eyeliner pencil, I've been using it for years! Now, product wise, I think the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Trendsetter is a very close match, I definitely think lining your lips will create a bolder lip, similar to Lucy's. This look is also heavily contoured, I can see that Lucy has contoured her nose and forehead and added highlighter to her cheekbones. I think this is a great look to wear for dinner or for a night out with the girls, it definitely reminds me of a summer night! What do you think of Lucy's look? #bookclub - my favourite crime books ♥

So as I mentioned last week, I do want to mix up the content on Fairytale Kiss, I really want to share more film and book reviews so for today's post I wanted to focus on my favourite books. With the exception of Gone Girl, the majority of my picks are based on true crime. I have been interested in true crime for as long as I can remember, although the topic is not very cheery, I find the psychological aspect fascinating and I have read about quite a few cases. It is quite amazing seeing how the police force can catch a killer because of DNA testing especially when you compare the old investigating methods for the 1970's and earlier. After reading the first few pages of these particular books, I really did struggle to put them down. I think that's what I classify as a good book, something that you can't stop reading. I hope you like my list and let me know what your favourite crime books are! 

The Stranger Beside Me - 1980, Ann Rule
Without a doubt, this is my favourite book of all time. I have read this book about four times and I am currently on my fifth re-read! Ann Rule certainly had a way with words and without revealing too much of the plot, this is a non-fiction based book. It is based on the serial killer Ted Bundy and Ann reveals the case and her close relationship with Ted. She actually worked alongside him while they both saved lives at a suicide prevention call clinic in the early 70's. During the 1970's, there were a number of girls disappearing and Ann Rule reveals the troubling task that the police went through trying to find out who was responsible for the abduction and murders. It is incredibly rare for a crime writer to actually know a serial killer and it really is gripping to read the history of Ted Bundy and how he finally pays for his horrific crimes. It is completely different reading a book about crime knowing that the murders really happened and they aren't created from imagination. This book will definitely keep you on your toes and you are taken back to the 1970's where the nightmare began.    

Face to Face with Evil: Conversations with Ian Brady - 2010, Dr. Chris Crowley
Slightly similar to the Christopher Berry-Dee collection, Dr. Chris Crowley looks at how serial killers think and after spending six years building a relationship with British child killer, Ian Brady, he believes it is incredibly important to learn the reason why someone commits a crime so you can take a step forward to preventing future crimes occurring. If you are interested in the psychological aspect of criminology, this book really does nail the topic on the head.  

Gone Girl - 2012, Gillian Flynn
Okay so while I am currently reading The Stranger Beside Me again, I am also reading Gone Girl at the same time. Is that strange that I switch between two books? Anyway, I want to write my first impression of Gone Girl because I haven't watched the film and I haven't completely finished the whole book yet. From reading a few reviews and speaking to my friends, I know that the plot has a big twist but from the first few chapters, I am really entranced by the words and the unique structure of the book. Gillian Flynn certainly has a brilliant way of creating a clear picture in your mind and I love that the story is split from Nick Dunne's perspective, a husband who sounds completely miserable married and Amy Dunne, his wife who is introduced to the plot by her diary - the diary entry reveals how she first met Nick and fell in love with him. I have to admit that I am not usually the biggest fan of the fiction category but I have been totally glued to reading Gone Girl. I definitely recommend if you want to read a story from two totally different perspectives.

If you are interested in reading a variety of different cases, Christopher Berry-Dee has interviewed countless criminals and he has put detailed cases in this book. I think I read the entire book in two days, I just couldn't put it down! It really does give you a range of different interviews and you get to learn their backstory and what lead to their horrendous crimes. It is definitely an interesting read, especially if you are looking for a selection of cases throughout history. The interviews were transcribed from his encounters with the killers and you are shown a shocking insight into the mind of a criminal.

seven seas perfect 7 capsules ♥

Today's post is going to be another health kick for you. I have had really nice comments about my health focused posts and I was really excited to write this new review about the Seven Seas Perfect 7 capsules*. I have been trying the capsules for almost two weeks now and I have been eagerly waiting to see whether I would notice a difference. It is no secret that I am a Christmas scrooge, I feel like sometimes Christmas is rammed down our throats a tiny bit but I have to admit, I love reading Christmas gift guides. For today's post I wanted to get a head start on the gift guides and I thought a Disney themed post would be a great starting point. I am a huge Disney lover so it was really fun creating this list. My top favourite products include the Alice in Wonderland eyeshadow kit, I am so impressed by the colour selection of this kit - I would definitely wear all of them! I would also have to pick the Lip Smackers Disney Princess collection and the Now that's What I Call Disney CD. What would be your top picks from this list? ♥

#tiptalk - how i keep organised ♥

When my boyfriend reads the title of this blog post he will see the irony straight away. I constantly struggle with keeping my life organised and I become incredibly flustered and stressed if I let things slip past me. It is a constant battle wanting to stay in my duvet but then I also want to rule my own world at the same time. I am certainly not perfect but this year I have learnt that putting tasks to the back of my mind will just creep up on me and I become really worried. It really is the little things that make me feel stressed, if my room is a mess or if I haven't blogged in a few weeks. I feel really guilty and I can't enjoy any time to relax because I know I have things to do, but I have learnt a few tricks along the way to manage things and I think that means I'm a grown up now? Well...ish. Anyway, if you do get really anxious about keeping organised then hopefully this blog post will help you. If you have any tips for keeping organised, let me know! ♥

1. Stationery
I am a huge, huge, huge lover of notebooks, pens, highlighters - anything that looks pretty. Writing down my to-do lists and goals for the week and weekend really keeps me focused and buying pretty stationery makes it more fun right?! 

2. Organise your to-do lists 
I've recently started writing down what errands I need to run, the blog posts I want to write and general tasks I need to do. For example, I've already knew that I had to run to the Post Office this week to collect a few blog parcels, then I also had to run to Zara to pick up a coat. I then came back and started to take blog photos straight away. Writing a timed list is quite keen but it just keeps me focused and then I can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

3. Don't ignore things
I was so, so, so guilty of putting things off this year. I would simply push the task back a day, then another day and the whole time I would secretly be thinking about it. If you have to return a dress or book that doctor appointment get it out the way. For me, being organised is about keeping on top of everything and knowing what your end goal is. Ignoring things will just cause unneeded stress! 

4. Find inspiration
I don't know about you but whether I am watching a particular character in a film or Youtuber, I usually feel inspired one way or another. I think there is always someone that will be more organised than you, whether they visit the gym at 5am or already write their Christmas list, but don't let this make you feel down or anxious about yourself. I think it's a great way to motivate yourself and it definitely reminds you that you can always find ways to improve.

curaprox toothpaste - black is white ♥


For years, I have always felt self conscious about my teeth. Even though I had braces growing up (oh the joy) and avoided coke and coffee, I still don't feel like my teeth are super bright or straight. While saving up for expensive veeners is a work in progress, I still love finding less drastic ways to improve the whiteness of my teeth. Last month, I attended the Curaprox teeth whitening event in London. If you read my blog post, you would know that I met the lovely Toff from Made in Chelsea and I had the chance to speak to her about Curaprox and how she keeps her teeth lovely and white. I was instantly drawn to the Curaprox brand purely because the product is so different. Black toothpaste sounds like a crazy concept if you want white teeth but the use of activated carbon in the product actually claims to improve the whiteness.

When I first saw the Black is White* packaging, I was really impressed with the tube size, it is still lasting me now after weeks of use. The formula of the toothpaste does not include sulphate so it doesn't produce foam like regular toothpastes. It is quite a strange sight looking at your teeth covered in a black paste but it has a fresh zesty taste and although they have a milder version available, I still think the fresh lime-mint flavour is suitable for strong mint haters. I am not really a mint fan but I really liked the taste of the toothpaste. I have been using the toothpaste for a few weeks now and I have really started to see a difference, the staining on my bottom teeth is slowly improving but I will say that I avoid coffee, fizzy drinks and wine right now. 

If you are looking for whiter teeth, take a closer look at the food and drinks you are having - cutting out certain drinks will reduce staining on your teeth and will make the Curaprox toothpaste work easier. I definitely think you should give the toothpaste a try, it is a lot easier to include in your routine because you are just brushing your teeth rather than waiting around for 30 minutes with a shield in your mouth. netflix - the feel good tv playlist ♥

Even though my blog is mostly based on fashion and beauty, the TV and film world is very, very important to me. I am a huge lover of films and I really want to start talking about this more on Fairytale Kiss. I have a very big addiction to my TV so I thought it would be a nice idea to share my favourites, especially if you are in a particular mood. I thought I would start of this Netflix blog series with a nice, happy TV list, a suggestion of shows that will make you laugh and even make you feel good about yourself. So without anymore rambling, let's get started! Feel free to write about your favourite TV and films on Netflix, I would love to add more to my list! ♥

Charmed
What can I say about Charmed, this series is probably one of my favourites. If you aren't into supernatural or sci-fi don't worry, the series is really based on the concept of family. In particular, three sisters - Prue, Piper and Phoebe. They discover they are the Charmed ones, destined to protect innocent lives from demons and warlocks, now it may seem really, really sci-fi based but trust me, the girls have killer outfits (well..for the 00's anyway) and the chemistry between them is amazing. I'm not really a fan of the show after season 3 but it is definitely worth a watch, plus Shannen Doherty is the definition of a #GirlBoss.  

The Vampire Diaries
If you are in the mood for romance and vampires - I give you The Vampire Diaries. This series probably wins my award for the most plot twists, the show just keeps you glued to the screen. Elena Gilbert is a teenager, (I've never seen a 'teenager' look that well groomed...), who recently loses her parents in a car accident. After settling back into her school life, she falls in love with Stefan Salvatore who turns out to be a vampire... Now don't worry, the story focuses on the love triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon, his beautiful older brother. The show is super easy to watch and you can admire the beautiful Salvatore brothers. 
Arrested Development
I can't even begin to describe how perfect this TV show is. This is probably one of the most underrated TV shows in the world. I know this is a bold statement to make but I really do think this show needs to be on your comedy list. If you are a fan of the more "sitcom comedy" shows, then I'm afraid this may not be for you but for subtle and sarcastic humour - Arrested Development takes 1st prize. The show is based around a dysfunctional family that have to learn how to survive without their father, (he is currently in jail for fraud and stealing), Micheal Blooth is trying to keep the family together while also trying to get their dad out of jail.
The Office (UK)
It wasn't until I started my first job at 18 that I realised how right Ricky Gervais was. When he created The Office in 2001 he really nailed the working world right on the head. Yes, most work sites aren't exactly like The Office but I think every work place can have a touch of social awkwardness and this is what makes The Office so brilliant. Based in Slough, David Brent (played by Ricky Gervais) is the manager of an average paper company. Filmed in a mockumentary style, the TV series follows David Brent and the staff throughout their days in the office. Full of cringey and awkward moments, The Office is a perfect choice if you are feeling down about your working life.

get the look - michelle keegan pride of britain awards ♥

It is no secret that I am obsessed with Michelle Keegan, not only do I think she has an amazing acting career but I have always been amazed by her style. I was so excited when she partnered up with Revlon earlier this year and after she attended the Pride of Britain awards last week, I wanted to put together a 'Get the Look' post purely focusing on Revlon products, (oh and a pair of Superdrug lashes). I actually saw the full list of products used for Michelle Keegan on Instagram and they were all pretty pricey products so I think a Revlon alternative is a savvy back up plan if you can't afford the designer brands. 

She usually wears quite neutral matte tones, but for this particular look, I can see a touch of shimmer on her eyes so I think the Revlon Eyeshadow Photo R Primer palette would make a great product for eye shadow and you can even use this as a highlighter on the cheekbones. From looking at photos, you can see her make-up artist has applied a bright, shimmery shade to the inner corner of her eyes. Now the lashes really stood out to me, I think if you apply a subtle pair then you can add quite a few coats of the Revlon Ultimate All in One Mascara, this will certainly create the same fluttery look. alexander mcqueen sunglasses ♥


Okay, we are in the middle of winter now...maybe it isn't the perfect time to talk about sunglasses but because they are Alexander McQueen maybe this is allowed? I bought these sunglasses in New York earlier this year and we have been inseparable ever since. I usually struggle finding sunglasses that suit me because of my face shape. My face is quite small so cat eye/winged sunglasses usually suit my face best. I really don't suit aviator style sunglasses which is quite annoying because I love that style. This particular Alexander McQueen pair is called the Havana Cat Eye, I think I have found the exact match here but they are quite tricky to find. 

I love the gold detailing for the temples but the only annoying point I would mention is that my hair always gets caught in the corners of the sunglasses when I try to take them off. I have to pull my hair out of the hinges which can get annoying but when I am wearing them, they certainly feel secure and strong. What are your favourite sunglasses?
