Hi girls, I haven't made a general wish list post in a while so I thought today would be a great day to start. Apparently yesterday was officially the first day of autumn, this makes me quite sad because I cannot stand cold weather but I will be looking in Zara as my go to wardrobe helper, they always get it right - especially when it comes to shoes! I am loving the tanned suede boots, they look would look great with denim jeans or leather trousers. Now when I saw the black Topshop skirt, I had to include it, yes the design is very bold but I am loving the style! Although I don't have a mac laptop, I've really been considering buying one and I am obsessed with the pretty marble covers - I am really looking for a marble background for my Instagram page too.

For bags, I have been lusting over this Louis Vuitton bag for years now, I love the iconic design and the thin straps. For beauty products and autumn weather in full swing I still want to feel bronzed and I have been hearing such amazing reviews about the Norvell tanning range, I have picked a selection of products from the website, I'm so impressed with the edgy packaging and especially the different application methods available! what's in my make-up bag ♥

Hi girls for today's post I wanted to talk about my new Ted Baker make-up bag and the essential products that I keep in there. My boyfriends family bought me the Ted Baker bag for my birthday earlier this year and I cannot be happier with the design and style of the bag. You can find a similar design here. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I have quite a few make-up products in my room so I love to have a big make-up bag when I want to grab products if I'm running out of the house. The bag is super easy to keep clean especially if you give the outside a quick wipe with a baby wipe! When it comes to packing my bag, my must have products usually include:

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer: This foundation is my one true love, it provides flawless coverage on my skin and I love quite a heavy base so this works perfectly. The foundation actually comes with a concealer and applicator too. Even though the foundation is thick, it doesn't feel cakey or heavy!

Primark eyeliner: Personally I don't think you need to spend a fortune on black eyeliner. This particular eyeliner is easy to use on your waterline and the lid includes a nifty sharpener.

Urban Decay Primer Potion: My eyeshadows really don't sit well without a good primer, I bought this particular primer in New York earlier this year and I love how easy it is to apply the product. The wand is soft and flexible and you can really control how much product you apply onto your eyes.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara: One of my favourite mascaras, the brush catches all of my short lashes and you can really create and intense or subtle look onto your lashes.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer: This concealer is probably my favourite beauty product, purely because I buy this again and again and I use it for concealing the bags under my eyes and even as a highlighter. The formula is creamy and easy to blend and the sponge applicator is super easy to use!

MAC lipstick in Hug Me: I always reach for this lipstick because it is the perfect shade to warm your skin tone up. For an intense look I usually apply the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 45 before to add extra depth to my lips.

Sleek MakeUp Face Contour Kit*: Although I use the Maybelline contour stick, I do love using this Sleek kit if I am in a rush, the matte powder creates perfect definition without looking oily or cakey. I definitely recommend this kit if you are just starting to contour, the powders are super easy to blend into your skin.

l'oreal vs ysl - lip gloss ♥

Don't get me wrong, I would love to spend my salary on make-up products covered in gold packaging but the sad reality is, I can't afford to spend £26 on one lip gloss. If you are a serial product junkie like myself, one shade of lip gloss just isn't enough and finding a cheaper alternative is a main goal in life. Luckily for you I think I've found a cheaper version of the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Glossy Stain (try saying that three times...). I have been using the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Extraordinaire lipsticks for almost a year now, I have purchased quite a few colours including the shades 601 Nude Ballet, 500 Molto Mauve and 401 Fuchsia Dream so I thought I would compare my YSL glossy stains and see how they matched up. The YSL shades include 17, a deep pink 14, a light rose and 11, a deep red shade.

Although the L'Oreal packaging is not as glam as YSL, paying £8 compared to £26 definitely ticks the right box for me, I don't mind throwing the packaging design out of the window if the quality of the product is worth it. Now when it came to swatching the L'Oreal Fuchsia Dream (left) and YSL 14 (right) on my hand, I was impressed to see the pigmentation and thickness of the L'Oreal shade. I have never actually compared the two shades side by side before and as you can see from the photo, the L'Oreal results are impressive! If you have tried the YSL glossy stains then you will know the formula is not supposed to be incredibly thick so I definitely recommend YSL for a night out or a special occasion but the L'Oreal lip products are definitely perfect for everyday wear. Overall I am really impressed with the packaging of YSL but L'Oreal match up by providing thick coverage and great shade options. 10/10 ♥

wedding guest outfit - lavish alice ♥

After recently coming back from a wedding this week, I wanted to do a short and sweet post about what I wore. Although I knew the big day was arriving, I had never been to a wedding before so I was quite worried about finding the right dress. With the wedding based in Spain, this did give me more options to reach for bright and bolder colours but either way, I learnt a few tips and tricks when I started my big dress hunt! To start with I made a list of every shop I could think of: Reiss, ASOS, Phase Eight, Chi Chi London, Lipsy and Karen Millen. I gave myself months to begin looking at what style of dress I wanted and what would suit my body shape. 

I ordered quite a few different styles from ASOS because my original idea of wearing a fitted bardot dress didn't feel dressy enough when I tried them on. Luckily I found this fire engine red midi dress from Lavish Alice on ASOS and I fell in love instantly, the material was light and perfect in the hot Spanish sun. The tie up back was slightly tricky but luckily the boyfriend and the best friend were close by to help with that department. I paired the dress with my favourite gold Zara heels and a small black and gold clutch bag from Primark. My best tip would be to definitely try on dresses outside of your original idea and comfort zone, I ended up finding a perfect choice and I couldn't be happier! september beauty wish list ♥

Hi girls, I hope your week is going well! I cannot believe that we are in September already, this year has whizzed past. I have really been neglecting my blog lately so I really want to get back into posting, for today's post I wanted to round up a few beauty products that I have been lusting over. Without a doubt, the Kylie Lip Kit is still on my wish list, the shades look incredible and I am dying to try the nude shades. The new Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks and contour kit is certainly on my radar, I think this particular contour kit looks perfect for olive skin tones. After I put this wish list together I really noticed how I am attracted to warmer nude shades now, especially when I picked the L'Oreal Paris Le Blush kit. What do you think of this list?
