mac stripdown liner and foundation review ♥

For today's post, I wanted to talk about my new beauty favourites, the MAC Stripdown Lip Pencil and the MAC Face and Body Foundation. I know that the Stripdown pencil is one of the most popular lip liners from the MAC range and after wearing it for the first time, I can see why. I know it may be a marmite topic, but I personally love Kylie's nude lips, although I'm not a fan of her using lip fillers, I love the lipsticks and lip pencils she uses. I've seen a Kim Kardashian interview where she praises Stripdown as her favourite lip pencil, it creates a gorgeous nude lip with a brown tone. As you can see from the swatch, the colour is incredible and really pigmented. I found the shade a perfect match to compliment my skin tone and I paired this with a nude lipstick from the Rimmel Kate Moss range. I cannot praise this lip pencil enough, I definitely recommend this shade if you starting out with MAC lip pencils, like myself.
For the MAC Face and Body foundation, I have been using the shade C4. Now, if you have read my blog for a few years, you will know that I have very oily skin. When I put this foundation on my Christmas list, I'll be honest and say I didn't really research it. I've heard such amazing reviews but I didn't know that quite a few bloggers aren't keen on the formula, especially when they also have an oily skin type like mine. That being said, I found the formula easy to blend and control, I prefer a full coverage and although the liquid is very thin and soft, I was able to create a flawless coverage and the "shine" made my skin look fresh and dewy. I would not recomend this foundation if you have very, very oily skin or if you want instant heavy coverage, you need to spend time building a heavy coverage but I personally love doing this! Overall, I cannot praise these MAC products enough, all hail MAC! 10/10

  1. I adore the strip down liner! I have 2 because i always have them in my bags, and i just got subculture today which i hope to be just as good. I also have this foundation, and i don't have oily skin and i still don't like it, definitely a waste of my money.
