every night is another story ♥

My sister often complains that she can never find anything in Primark, besides the essential legging collection or plain t-shirt she has never mastered the Primark hunt. I on the other hand love hunting through the rails to find hidden gems. I was in Primark last week and I found these white heels, I fell in love straight away because I love plain stilettos but because they were quite bold looking, I was worried I wouldn't be able to wear them well. I tried on a size 5 and they fit perfectly, for only £10 they really did look nice - especially when I spent £65 on a nude coloured pair from Office a few months ago that look exactly the same... They are really comfy to walk in and even though they are a few inches high I've managed not to fall over! These stilettos will be perfect for the spring/summer time and in the meantime, I will be pairing these with my leather trousers and a pretty blouse. What hidden gems have you found from Primark recently? What is your favourite Primark gem?

rouge in style ♥

I watched Gangster Squad last night and since then, the 50's and Emma Stone have been stuck in my mind. The make-up artist for Gangster Squad did an incredible job for Emma, I love the red lips and classic style they created for her. It got me thinking about Kim Basinger in L.A Confidential and the constant theme is a bold red shade. I wanted to tell you about my favourite nail polish at the moment. The Bourjois 1 seconde Nail polish* has a gel formula which includes silicon - this means that when it dries on your nail, it leave a gorgeous, glossy finish! The shade is 11 Rouge In Style. Without even looking at the swatch, you can already see how vibrant the pigmentation is by just looking at the bottle. It really is a gorgeous firetruck red! It definitely reminds me of the 50s era and I am a sucker for 50s make-up! The design of Bojouis polishes are really easy to hold and use - especially the actual brush, it is easy to apply and evenly coats your nail. I really recomend this range if you are not great at painting your nails - like me. What do you think of this Bourjois nail polish collection? You can see the full range here 10/10 ♥

every night is another story ♥

I have always dreamed of going to the Oscars and wearing a giant princess dress, yes, it does sound corny but I have never really been to an event where you get to dress up. I never even went to my school prom... So you can imagine how excited I get when it comes to the Oscars, it just screams classic Hollywood and this year was no exception. It was hard to pick a real favourite, but Jennifer Lopez just looked like a goddess last night. I am not usually a fan of bright pink lips but this look has officially changed my mind! Now, please tell me that I am not the only beauty lover that analyses the make-up on celebs? As soon as I saw the photos of J Lo I knew Bourjois would easily be able to create this look. The Bourjois Shine Edition lipstick in Oh My Doll is the hero product for this look, the shade is almost identical to the lip product that J Lo is wearing - the silky texture of this lipstick actually makes the texture very glossy and again, similar to Jennifer's.

The next step for creating this look is bronzer - J Lo has used a lot of bronzer on her face, I would suggest using a dark bronzer to contour the forehead and blend into the hollows of your cheekbones. The Bourjois Gold Bronzing powder is perfect for this contouring as well as adding a sun kissed glow to your skin. For the eyes, the Smoky Eyes Trio in Rose Vintage is a heavenly match, you can also subtly mix the Bourjois blusher pot in Rose Frisson - this has a really nice orange tone that is similar to J Lo's eye make-up. Finally, add a few coats of mascara, black liner on the top of your lash line and you can even go the extra mile of cutting the corners of some false lashes to create a similar cat eye effect like Jen's. If you take a close look, her eye lashes look slightly longer on the outer corners. Then voila! You have created a super easy and affordable Oscar worthy make-up look! What do you think of this look? Let me know if there are any other celebrity looks you would like me to create!

all that you can't leave behind ♥

If you've been reading my blog for the past few years then you will know I am not a huge fan of spending fortunes on beauty products, the occasional splurge here and there is fine but I struggle to justify spending £30 on a lipstick... That being said, I love brands that are inspired by the pricey, luxury products and create more affordable versions. Makeup Revolution have officially nailed this concept - their entire range is purse friendly and best of all, the actual quality and results of their products are incredible. I popped into Superdrug earlier this week and picked up the MakeUp Revolution Amazing Curl Mascara for £2 and the Vivid Blush Lacquer in Rush for £3. Just to give you a heads up, my lashes lack volume and length so I usually use a comb mascara to prep my lashes and then I use a brush mascara to add thickness. Let's start with the packaging - sleek and simple, I love the rose gold text on the mascara, I think it is really pretty! I am really surprised with how well this mascara performed! I didn't even need to reach for my comb style mascara to prep my lashes - two coats of the Makeup Revolution mascara and we were ready for lift off.

The bristles managed to catch even my short, thin lashes and really define them. Super impressed with the quality and overall look of my lashes and for £2 I couldn't be happier! For the Vivid Blush Lacquer, I have always been hesitant with these type of blushers because I have very oily skin - anything other than a matte texture will make me look like a shiny meatball but I have heard so many lovely reviews about this blush! I went for the shade Rush which is a very girly, Barbie pink shade - I am usually a bronze, gold shade type of girl when it comes to my make-up but for my blusher, I wanted to try something a little different. At first glance I thought "ooh it's quite small, will it last?" - trust me, 12m is more than enough. The formula is very concentrated so only need a tiny, tiny amount. I applied quite a bit on my hands so you  can really see how pigmented the shade is. Isn't is gorgeous? For £3, I am so surprised with how creamy and soft the texture is and how easy it is to blend. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with these two hidden gems, I love that you can branch out and experiment with different shades and it won't cost you a fortune to do so. I can't recommend MakeUp Revolution enough! :) 10/10 What is your favourite product for their collection?

crash into you ♥

I am a well known sucker for celebrity fragrances, I know most people stick to the classics like Chanel or Dior, but price and packaging wise I like to keep it affordable but quirky. The Katy Perry range is no exception - I fell in love with the Killer Queen fragrance late last year and since then I have been eager to try her third perfume from the Killer Queen range which is called Royal Revolution. This perfume is actually the third collaboration that Katy has done with Coty and it is available in a 50ml and a 100ml bottle. I finally got my hands on the 100ml from Boots. So, let's start with the overall packaging and design of the Katy Perry Royal Revolution perfume - is it practical? Um, no not exactly - I did originally think the perfume would stand up but it just lays on its side, this is the only thing I dislike about the Katy Perry Killer Queen perfumes. For the design, visually I think the bottle is gorgeous. It really looks amazing on my dressing table (even if it is on its side) and I love the colour of the bottle - I personally prefer the blue bottle than the red just because it's quite a unique blue.

Now for the actual scent - the perfume is really fruity, the top notes include red pomegranate and pink freesia. For the heart notes, the scents are jasmine, orange flower and sandalwood. The base notes are blackthorn, vanilla orchid and skin musk - quite an unusual mix! Overall, I am in love with this perfume. The scent is gorgeous, quite strong but I prefer stronger scents and I found it lasted a really long time on my skin and my clothes. The look and style is right on point and the scent is perfect for the evening - I definitely prefer this scent to the original Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume. I was lucky to get this 100ml perfume for just £18.99 in Boots - you can find it here. Have you tried any of the Katy Perry fragrances before? Let me know what your favourite celebrity fragrance is, are you a fan? Have a lovely evening girls! 10/10

are you true? ♥

So last weekend I went and stayed at my best friend's house in Maidstone - we took a road trip to Chatham to see Fifty Shades of Grey (it was awful - I have no words) and then we headed into town for a little shopping trip. Being a few weeks left before pay day, I didn't want to go crazy in the shops but I thought I would show you the few bits I picked up. The first shop I went into was Dorothy Perkins. These maroon boots really caught my eye, they are super comfy and the heel jazzes up my jeans and leggings. I got them in a size 5 and they fit perfectly, they were £39 which isn't too bad. I can't seem to find them online but there are a few pairs floating around on eBay. I also popped into Claire's Accessories and went lash crazy with the Katy Perry Prism false lashes in Roar and the Cheryl Eylure First Date lashes.  I think the Katy Perry lashes are a tad bold for me but I will cut the edges slightly to make them less fluttery.

I personally have to wear more natural lashes because my eyes look swamped if the lash style is too heavy. We then stopped off in Asda where I picked up this heated Sauna Masque by Montagne Jeunesse - I have used this brand since I was 13 or 14 years old, I love how warm it feels on your skin and for £1 it is definitely worth treating yourself. We finally popped into Ikea and I bought another notebook that I don't need, I fell in love with this little book which only cost me £2. Finally, my favourite thing that I bought has to be the snake print clutch bag, I am obsessed with snake print at the moment. It was in the sale for £4 in Select Fashion - I can't seem to find it online but definitely pop in their store to see if you have any luck! There we have it, my little shopping haul! What would you buy from this little bundle? Have a lovely evening girls and let me know whether you agree with my Fifty Shades opinion..

osmo volume range ♥

Over the years, my hair has been backcombed, straightened, curled and coloured. Because of this, my hair has slowly lost its thickness so I now rely on products to add volume to my hair. I have been avoiding teasing my hair because as we all know this is how your hair really breaks! I have been using the Osmo Extreme Volume Thickening Creme* and the Osmo Extreme Volume Root Lifter* from Osmo. For those of you who don't know, Osmo are a salon professional brand that are used by hairdressers. Now these products are designed to add thickness and volume without making your hair feel heavy or greasy. Both products need to be applied when your hair is partly dry - for the cream, I have been applying a 50p sized amount to the roots and I found that tipping my head upside down is a great way to evenly apply the product and get to my roots.

It smells delicious and I loved that it didn't leave a sticky residue on my hands afterwards. Then you simply grab your hairdryer and style your hair as normal. I tried the Extreme Volume Root Lifter the next time I washed my hair because I wanted to see how the products worked individually. The spray head is really easy to use, especially when you want to target sections of your hair and if you prefer sprays, this is definitely the volume product for you. It actually contains sandalwood which moisturises your hair and protects your scalp. Overall, I am really impressed with the results, I found that the Root Lifter didn't make my hair greasy and although I used the thickening creme, my hair still felt fresh and clean. I can't recommend this range enough, you can see their other products online here 10/10

february wish list ♥

Now that payday has finally arrived, I am ready to put my shopping hat on. There are two sides to eating healthy, on the one side you look slimmer and you can feel more comfortable in clothes. The bad side? You usually have to re-buy a few bits and pieces. Most of my clothes are way to baggy for me now so I'm on the hunt for clothes that fit better. For my February wish list I am really wanting to add to my perfume collection, Lady Gaga's Fame perfume is currently £19.99 in Boot's at the moment - and the bottle will look very snazzy on my dressing table ;) I am loving the bags in Zara at the moment, I have been wearing quite a lot of khaki colours lately so gold bags are currently on my wish list. I think gold and khaki goes VERY well together! H&M have some lovely basic clothes in at the moment - how gorgeous is the brown roll neck jumper? What items are on your wish list at the moment? Have a lovely afternoon girls
