Cupcakes, Uni Work & Chick Flicks ♥

Right now I am currently listening to Katy Perry's 'Part of Me' song, I do love girl power! I think she looks fabulous on the new cover of Interview magazine, she looks slightly over airbrushed though... I wish I had my own personal airbrusher who followed me around! You should definitely listen to this song if you're having boy troubles. Anyway, I hope you are all having a good week. As usual, last week for me involved food, chick flicks and uni work. I really could do with that chocolate fudge cake again ;) I've just had my law lecture today and at 4 I have to go to the seminar - don't worry I've already bought food for it ;) muhaha. I'm sorry I've been slacking in my blog posts lately, I'm already preparing new posts for this week though so wooo. Also, I actually can't remember the last time I watched a Vampire Diaries episode! What is wrong with me?! Oddly though, my dad has started watching season 1. Be afraid, be very afraid haha.

I can't believe I have roughly 50 days left at uni (minus the three weeks holiday in March), some of my friends are already buying shoes for graduation! :O One of my friends has asked me to teach her how to walk in heels before we go on stage, I don't think she realises that I'm just as clumsy as Bella Swan?! haha. Finally, make sure you buy today's issue of more! magazine! I'm featured on page p.87 next to the lovely Samantha Webster (she's the editorial assistant - she could literally rule the world with just using a telephone). I've scanned the article for this blog post for you all to see, it feels so nice seeing myself in there! :) I'm just about to run to my seminar, but I will have a blog post for you tomorrow. Let me know what you think of the Katy Perry song :) ♥

Hand Cream Reviews ♥

The first product I’m looking at is called Immortelle Brightening Hand Care by L’Occitane, (it has SP15 and is 75ml) and the packaging is very posh. You can say I’m easily pleased, but I really like the dark purple screw cap on the bottle! It’s quite hard to describe the smell when you first open it, but I would say it’s very floral and fresh. It’s quite subtle and that is perfect for me, because overpowering hand creams really aren’t my cup of tea. The lotion is non greasy and a pea sized amount is more than enough to cover one hand. After rubbing it in, I have to say, my hand looks lovely! It’s hard to describe, but the lotion creates a shimmer effect but without there being any glitter. It has a matte glow finish that really makes your hands smoother and even looking, without leaving it feeling sticky. I’m definitely carrying this in my bag from now on! The second product I’m going to review is another hand care product, called Wild Rose Nourishing Hand Butter by The Body Shop. It’s 100ml, so it’s perfect to put in your bag when you’re rushing out the house. It’s only £10 so it’s great if you need to buy any presents this month! It’s in a circular container, which perfectly sized but I personally prefer tubes for my body and hand cream – I’m just too messy haha. The smell and the texture of the butter is what stands out for me, it smells absolutely gorgeous, I love the smell of roses. The texture of the butter is incredibly thin but instantly leaves your skin feeling moisturised. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are as clumsy as me but other than not being keen on the container, I think its perfect for as hand butter! 7/10

Product Haul - Hair, Skin & Make-Up ♥

To say that this month has been crazy is an understatement. I can’t believe this time three weeks ago I was getting ready for my work experience at more! magazine. I wish it didn’t go so quick :( I’m back in Southampton now, back to the student routine. I must say, I didn’t miss the Super Noodles. Luckily, I’m not behind in any uni work but I’m still panicking that I am anyway. I’ve spent today trying to do pitches and squeezing in The Vampire Diaries at the same time. Oh and hoola hoping! I bought a hoola hoop on Friday! No, I’m not crazy and bored…Apparently they’re a great way of toning your stomach so I though I would invest in one. I couldn’t do it at Primary school and I still can’t do it now. I need to practice haha :) I know I’ve missed a few days of blogging but before I forget, I just wanted to say how upset I was about the news of Whitney Houston. The Bodyguard has always been one of my favourite films and I’m still so upset about the news. I don’t think we’ll ever hear a voice as amazing as Whitney’s.

On a lighter note, I wanted to show you the goodie bag that more! gave me on my last day. To say I was speechless was an understatement…It means so much that they appreciated me being there and that I was actually useful! I really didn’t want to leave – I was tempted to superglue myself to the chairs haha. Anyway, there are a lot of products to get through and we all know how I can never afford to splurge and review products so I can’t wait to review all of these! :) I might do a part 2 blog post, because there is quite a lot to get through. They also got me a £20 gift card for Topshop!! :) My favourite product has got to be the Yves Saint Laurent lip-gloss. It is the perfect shade and has an amazing formula to it. It’s definitely the most glamorous item of make-up that I have! For hair products, the John Frieda Collection – Luxurious Volume: Thickening Blow Dry Lotion is my favourite out of the bunch. It is amazing at creating body to my hair without me having to attack it with back combing. Finally, my favourite product out of the skin care range is the Body Shop – Spa Wisdom Monoi Body Balm. It smells gorgeous and feels silky and smooth but without the greasy part. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand greasy lotions! I’m back to doing uni work, but I hope you like this post. How I Wear: Blazers ♥

Hi girls! I hope you're having a good weekend. I'm currently in bed waiting for my Vampire Diaries episode to load...highlight of my weekend ;) What have you all been up to?! Friday was my last day at the amazing more! magazine. I can't believe that I was there for 2 weeks. It went too quick :( I bought them a giant box of Krispy Kreme's to say thank you and the girls all really like it! Sam gave me a giant bag full of goodies to say thanks for all my hard work there. I'm going to review everything they gave me, but it's going to take a while...I've never seen so much beauty products in one bag. It's so lovely of them to do that for me!! I'm really upset to be leaving there...Hopefully I'll come back after I properly finish uni in May. It's the middle of February and I'm already a few months away from finishing - that is crazy! Anyway, I went shopping with the sister today and I got this red blazer from Primark. It was only £15! I'd love to build a big collection of different colours. What colour blazers have you got? I wore this white blazer from River Island during our shopping trip, it was £75 :O I got it for Christmas though...River Island do overprice certain items it I think! It does fit amazing though. I think these outfits are pretty simple, but I love this look! I just realised that the majority of my outfits are 80% Primark - if only I had money to branch out haha ;) Anyway, I'm back to watching Damon & Elena! Hi girls! I am seriously slacking in the post department at the moment, by the time I get home from the more! office, I am falling asleep on my door step. Wooops! Obviously when I get to uni, I'll have more time to give you a more detailed account of my time here. I can't believe it has been nearly two weeks since I started...I don't want to leave! I'm contemplating super gluing myself to their chairs haha. I've learnt so much! I've definitely learnt to trust my instincts more and I'm not afraid to put myself out there anymore. 2 weeks ago I didn't even like getting the train haha. I quite enjoy getting the train now...especially when people watch me eat my McDonald's - muhaha ;) I think the high point of being at more! has got to be meeting Alan Carr and actually being able to write for the magazine! Alan was lovely and incredibly funny - I asked him if he liked Britney Spears and he said he did, he likes 'Piece of me' - so proud! :) My other highlight would be Chantelle (the editor) and Louise (the deputy editor) telling me how much they loved my writing style. It means so much that they would say that because they know what they're talking about! It's safe to say that I've had a big grin on my face all week...maybe one day I will be like Jenna Rink at 'Poise' magazine! haha ;)

I also did a new post for the more! tumblr, I love wearing that fur coat right now! The two outfits I've put together were worn this week for work, I'm proud of myself that I haven't over worn my leather trousers too much. I feel like I'm branching out as a person by wearing other fabrics that aren't made from black plastic - I suppose this would be more convincing if you weren't reading this under a picture of the black h&m skirt... I've just finished my lunch so I'm back to sorting out the office before the TV crew comes next week. It's so nice and clean! :) I'm also helping a feature on work experience that will be in the next issue....ahhhh! :) Hope you're all okay, thank you for all your lovely comments and for following! More! Work Experience Day 4 ♥

Hello girls, hope you're all having a good week! I'm currently still in the more! office typing this. I've had such a busy day! :) I had to go to the Plaza in Oxford Street and interview men on how their relationship with their girlfriends has changed them. I'll be honest, busy London boys are not too eager to stop and have a chat. But I finally finished doing it and the girls at the office are really happy with the footage I collected :) Yay! I also had to write a few bits and bobs today, I love that they give me the opportunity to write for the magazine, its so refreshing that they let you get involved! I am currently freezing, I have ear muffs and gloves in my bag - they are my best friends at the moment haha :) How are you guys dealing with the cold?  My outfit is pretty simple today, the blouse was stolen from my sister today (muhaha) and I like how I've paired it with the military boots. The blouse and bag are from River Island and the ear muffs (life savers) are from Topshop. Has anyone started wearing ear muffs due to this unfriendly weather?

I know people would frown at me for what I'm about to say, but I think I need to wear sunglasses in this weather! The cold keeps making my eyes water and I had to stare at the floor while I got the train this morning, not a good look haha :) My nail varnish is driving me crazy at the moment, I've been using a mixture of the H&M and a MUA one but they keep chipping :( I hate chipped nail varnish! Especially when the girls in the office always look so styled and glam...sigh. When I get home tonight, we'll be ordering a curry and celebrating my dad's birthday. We've bought him an iPad so I can't wait to see what he does when he sees it. He called my phone a 'blueberry' the other day hahaha. More! Magazine Work Experience ♥

First off, I would like to apologise in advance for this image of my face. Words can't describe how un-photogenic I am and for some reason, whenever I have a photo taken, I gain a double chin. Or maybe I generally have a double chin and I only see it in photos? I wanted to include it though because I think you all might think I'm crazy if I only ever post pictures of me with no head. Well here it is..-_-hahaa :) Anyway, so so so sorry that I haven't posted in a week. I have been crazy busy! I'm back home in London because I was offered 2 weeks work experience at the fabulous More! magazine. I'm still in shock that they actually offered me a place but I am incredibly grateful. I've been there for three days so far and I seriously could imagine myself working there after uni. The whole atmosphere in the office consists of team work, concentration, gossip, commitment and a love for what each person does. I really admire that they don't come to work just to work, they come to contribute to a magazine were they put passion into it. Watching them at their desks, you can see how much they love their job.

I've answered a question for one of the problem pages, created a pub dilemma, found the men statistics and created interview questions. I can't believe I've done all of that in just three days! Sam (who's the editorial assistant) has been so lovely and kind to me these past few days, told me yesterday that she's sending me to be Alan Carr's assistant on Friday - so, so, so excited! I can't believe I get to meet him..I hope he likes me haha :) I'm definitely looking forward to that..I'll try and get a picture with him. Also, today I was lucky enough to blog on the More! magazine tumblr site, take a look and tell me what you think :) I'm going to watch some Arrested Development on Youtube then fall asleep, I am exhausted from getting the train this week - and it hasn't even been a full week yet!
