she ♥

2012 has been a year full of everything really, I feel like this is the year where I've finally taken the step from a carefree university student, to a young professional (sort of..) trying to make myself known in the fashion and beauty industry. What a year it has been. It was so hard trying to pick the highlighs of 2012, but I think my blog has been a very big part of it. Let's start from the top, freelancing for more! magazine and actually seeing my face printed into the actual UK fashion and beauty magazine is definitely top of my list. Working with the beauty girls, Poppy, Zara and Annie has been one of the most fantastic experiences and I can't thank them enough for letting me work with them. Having my work published in Zoo magazine was also a great ride, it's an incredible feeling to see your name printed on a national magazine. Interning at Red magazine was also a fantastic experience. I feel so lucky to have worked with the Red team - it makes me feel even more greatful that I managed to itern at 3 different magazines in less than 4 months after I left uni.
Getting a 1st for my dissertation and graduating with a 2:1 has got to be another high point, right? Besides from my well known thoughts about the annoying little hat, it was a great day and I can't believe how fast 3 years have flown by. Going to London Fashion Week and actually having my blog accepted to attend the event was a great acheivement for myself as a blogger and for Fairytale Kiss itself. Now although I didn't write this down last year for my New Year resolutions, I have always wanted to attend a real catwalk show, since that, I have attended quite a few and each have been amazing. I also got to go to a Essie and Garnier launch at the W Hotel in London, then I was featured on Look Online for the ASOS Style launch. I can't wait to see how things go next year and I'm even more determined to do more freelance writing! expecting ♥

Hello girls! I know its been a while, well a week technically...but now that the Christmas madness has sadly passed us, I'm back into my blog mode. How was everyone's Christmas?! I spent Xmas at my Aunt's house with the whole family and we pretty much chatted and ate turkey all day. I was so unorganised this year when it came to wrapping my presents, I was running around like a crazy person trying to wrap everything - I'll definitely be more prepared next year... I'm going to do a post about the amazing presents that I got from everyone, but for today's blog post I wanted to show you what I've ordered from online! I must say I did go a bit crazy with my shopping but my excuse's Christmas time ;) Some of these items I actually bought today, so you can see I've pretty much bought Topshop, Zara, River Island and H&M goodies! :)

I'm so happy with everything (although I have to return the silver Topshop dress because it's a tiny bit too tight), so I can't wait to wear it all. I'm definitely in one of those moods where I'm tired of my old wardrobe, now I've finished uni I want a fresh new closet! The main trend I'm loving at the moment is black lace, i.e, the gothic trend. I have often been called Wednesday from the Addam's Family so pairing these lace items with that delicious Kate Moss lipstick in Shade 4 is the perfect look for this Winter weather! judgement ♥

Hi girls, hope you're having a good Thursday! I don't know whether this week is going fast or slow? I finish work on Friday for Christmas so everything is very busy, but the constant appearance of chocolate on my desk is very nice indeed ;) I'll start the healthy diet after Christmas...maybe. Last night we had drinks at work and a nice work catch up, I ate a large amount of scotch eggs. Random, I know. Anyway, today I wanted to talk to you about a fabulous magazine that has just been released. It's called TYD (short for The Young Director) and it is available on the iPad and is specifically aimed at anyone who is a young entrepreneur. I definitely think its a great interest for bloggers, especially if you want to make your blog a full time occupation and for it to be seen as a brand. The layout of the magazine is absolutely amazing, its bright, sleek and has a range of inspiring interviews. 

I was lucky enough to meet the editor-in-chief of the magazine (eep!), Michael Williams. It's pretty amazing that he's put together a magazine of this quality all by himself so I was really in awe when I met him. The content basically ranges from everything you can imagine, fashion, music, interviews with millionaire business owners (hopefully all of us one day ;)..), it also includes photographers, musicians, bloggers and fashion designers. I really love that it combines general magazine elements with actual tips and advice on how to expand your own business, I'm really interested in my career so to hear real life interviews with a young 23 year old girl who happens to be a millionaire is incredibly inspiring. As much as I love my Look magazine and Grazia's, I think its more refreshing to read about career journeys! Make sure you add this to your download list on itunes ;) Have a lovely evening girls

i will remember you ♥

Hi girls, how is your evening going? I wrote this post in my lunch break but I realised I left my memory card at home so I couldn't post any photos! I am such a dope sometimes... Anyway, how is everyone's Wednesday going? I thought it was Tuesday for some reason. I've currently eaten sushi and cheesy Doritos - not the most common combination I'll admit, but I'm still very satisfied. Last night I went to Pizza Express with the girls and I got the iconic dough balls and a new Pizza that they've added to the menu. Was incredibly nice to have a catch up with the everyone. I came home to find that my sister's car was getting towed away because next door had reversed into it...-_- At least my sister is fine though! Anyway, for today's post I wanted to show you what popped through my letter box last night. Remember I featured a post of my favourite Achica products? 

Well, I noticed these two books on their and I instantly fell in love. I'm starting to really have an obsession with books lately, especially hard back. I think they look great in your room (and obviously its great reading the book of course..) and I'm so excited to start reading the Fairytales of The Grimm Brothers book. It's beautifully illustrated and I love how thick it is! The next book is Film Noir, it is incredibly retro and it looks at the history of films and the iconic still life shots from all different movies from the 50s to the 70s. I don't think I've really dedicated a blog post to just books so I think its nice to mix it up a bit! What do you think of collecting unique books? sense and sensitivity ♥

When it comes to comfy clothes I am very fussy, in fact I am incredibly fussy. Just because comfy clothes aren't my usual leather trouser ensemble, that doesn't mean it shouldn't look good! Your Own Clothing is a edgier version of Hollister, more street and less beach. If I'm being totally honest, I've never really been a big fan of Hollister, besides from the fact that you can't even see anything when you step into the store... But I find that Your Own really brings an edgier look to casual clothing. I can't think of anything harder than when it comes to making hoodies and tracksuit bottoms actually look good, but Your Own pulls this look off perfectly. Inspired by Japanese street style, Your Own products include t-shirts, tracksuit bottoms, hats, vest tops, jackets and coats. Now there are a lot of trends that people can be iffy about, but everyone needs a comfy hoody to relax in this Winter weather.

I must be honest, I have recently found out the benefit of relaxing in tracksuit bottoms and I'm moving away from tight, uncomfortable clothes and besides, if tracksuits are good enough for Cheryl Cole...;) Your Own was created in 2009 and they were actually the first fashion company to produce a music video for Kaskade and Deadmau5's "I Remember" - we all know this song! blind date ♥

Good afternoon girls, how is everyone's day going? I am currently hunched at my desk eating yoghurt and carrots - obviously not together ;) Today has been pretty hectic at work, I've been sorting out Christmas cards for the entire magazine population! :) Last night I scheduled blog posts and had a relaxing magazine hour. Isn't it crazy how relaxing it is to read a copy of Vogue while eating chocolate? My plan for this week is to do a few more outfit posts and to review a few more beauty products - particularly teeth whitening ;) I'll let you all know when this post will be going up. Is there anything in particular you would like me to review? For today's post, I wanted to focus on tops - in particular French Connection women tops. I adore French Connection and their unique and bold style. I'm becoming a bit of a top junkie at the moment, I've overcome my leather trouser addiction and I'm not hunting for a leather top. 

Yes, you heard right, a black. leather. top. Incredibly snazzy I would say ;) I adore the leather top on the first row, it looks sleek and glam without looking a  bit...umm TOWIE. I'm sorry, I had to say - the TOWIE crew have given the leather look a bad name. Anyway, the other top I love from French Connection range is the last top on the bottom row. It would look perfect with jeans and a leather jacket, incredibly relaxed by still stylish. As you can see, my favourite tops from French Connection are a mixture between party tops and comfy tops, I definitely think the colour palette for French Connection this season is neutral but it still has a dash of glamour with it. epiphany ♥

Good evening girls, how are we feeling today? I think there has been some shock and confusion with the whole snow fiasco last week. Apparently it's going to snow this week too?! Am I the only one who really, really hates snow?! I have trouble walking on solid ground, let alone adding snow on top of it... Now before I start rambling on about my hate for snow, lets talk about what popped through my letter box last weekend! First of all, I am a big fan of winter - well winter make-up shades anyway. The Colour Couture Smouldering Smoky Eye Set is the perfect little pick me up for all the winter make-up fans out there. This women's eye make up set is perfect for a night out! Not only is the price incredibly pleasant to your bank account but the blue tones are incredibly flattering to any skin tone or hair colour. I think the dark blue shade is absolutely gorgeous and paired with a nude lipstick, this would look magic! It also comes with a nifty little mascara and eye liner which makes the perfect kit for on the go. I love, love, love the packaging of this set too, I love magazines so I'm incredibly pleased with the packaging ;) 
The variety of the shades means you can mix and match these eye shadows the wherever you're going. If you need a drastic look for a night out, stick to the darker shades and nude lips or if you have a date or if you're going to work, use the lighter shades more subtly and pair it with a pink lip shade. The make-up wipes came in pretty handy too, I have been needing to buy make-up wipes (instead of baby wipes...) for ages. Yes, I admit that I use baby wipes to remove my make-up instead of actual make-up wipes. I know! I shouldn't be using them! Good evening girls, how is everyone's Sunday going? For the first time in forever I have had the longest sleep, since I've left uni and started working I find myself waking up at 7am every weekend.. -_- but today, I've had the lie in ever! I've spent my weekend sorting out my room and colour coding my wardrobe (yes, I have too much time on my hands) and yesterday I went shopping with the best friend Harry, to see if I could add more to my wardrobe. I ended up buying quite a few bras from La Senza for some reason, maybe too many. We came back to mine and watched The Punisher and The Business with Danny Dyer, yes, yes we know I have boyish film taste... Anyway, my plan for today was to exercise but, I'm just too comfy! Before I start rambling, the outfit I wore yesterday is quite debatable because I know not that many people are keen on army print. I can't help but love these Primark trousers though, and for only £15 they are perfect for keeping warm this winter. Although, I didn't appreciate my grandad calling me "Rambo" all afternoon...
The jumper was £8 from Primark and is incredibly warm and snuggly, I love the sleeves especially because I like my watch and bracelets to show when I'm wearing tops. The bag was stolen from my sisters room and is the renowned Zara tote bag ;) The boots are from ebay, I've attached the link for you - I can honestly say that even though there is a slight heel, they are really comfy and perfect for this horrible weather. My lipstick is the Rimmel Kate Moss shade in number 22, I adore this lipstick and the formula. Creamy and long lasting, perfect if you have slightly dry lips. I think I'm moving away from nudes lip this Winter, I need more colour on my pale face haha. So, what do you think on army print trousers? over the rainbow ♥

When it comes to keeping fit and healthy, it can be harder than it sounds. I mean, just take today for example - I have to walk past KFC and Burger King every morning on the way to work, then I go past 3 corner shops that sell countless chocolate bars. Since I've graduated from uni and started working in the fashion and beauty industry, I find it incredibly hard to..well, stop stuffing my face with junk food. Even with all the industry events I've recently attended, I am surrounded by beautiful people. Models in particular. They all dress amazing, exercise and eat healthy. How?! I find myself reaching for the cookies whenever I can and I have a strange feeling its because I'm in winter and love being wrapped in my duvet. Whatever the reason for my unhealthy eating, I need to stop! Now, I'm not saying I need to go cold turkey and completely cut out junk food because hey, that's just impossible... But what I am saying is, I need to start finding time to exercise more and actually eat a healthy and balanced diet. So I found that healthy snacks are the perfect solution for my junk cravings, instead of pigging out on a chocolate bar, I simply have a packet of fruit raisins. 

They come in a variety of different flavours and are absolutely delish! I think this is the first time where I can eat fruit and not want to dive into a packet of crisps. They also count as one of your five a day ;) As for the exercise part well...for me, I find my stomach to be the most stubborn. So when I received a mysterious brown box in the post last week, I was curious and slightly in awe of what was inside. The XLS Medical was waiting for me inside and boy, oh, boy did I have a treat waiting for me. This exercise tool is perfect for me, I mean really. There are hundreds of ways to use this bad boy but for me, I mainly want to focus on my stomach. So by placing it on the floor, you can stretch the bands forward and feel the burn! It basically works as an elastic band for your abs and you can feel it working out your core. The best part is you don't get bored using the machine so you will be able to stick to it. It's the weirdest things that make me feel Chirstmasy, usually it has to be actually Christmas day with a turkey sitting in front of me to feel like its Christmas at all. But it turns out that yesterday was very festive for me, and this all happened while I was wondering around Sainsbury's of all places... Christmas songs were blaring very loudly while me and my dad whizzed around the aisles with the trolley. The decorations were placed everywhere and I was quite impressed with the whole atmosphere - minus a little old lady pulling her basket around with her scarf... So with the whole Christmas spirit in mind, I thought I would make a little Christmas list. Obviously I don't expect to have all of these gorgeous items wrapped under my Christmas tree, but if my family were millionaire's..;) I think the River Island coat is absolutely amazing, I tried it on yesterday to see how it looked and it did fit perfectly. I think I need to branch away from my leather jackets and try um...a leather jacket with fur! o_O okay fine I'll never branch away from my leather obsession but I must be growing as a person if I'm including fur.
The next thing is the Doll WonderStyler's - these bad boys can style synthetic hair without them melting and doing that funny burning sound (yes, I'm easily pleased). I spotted them on Red Online and they seemed to really like them. Have you tried Doll Haircare products before? I am officially in love with the Zara heels, they look glam and very 90's, which brings me to my next wish list item, the Clueless t-shirt! Now I know I've featured this top before but, I love, love , love it! My leather trousers have sadly died a death but as soon as I buy a new pair, I will be pairing the Clueless top with them. Are there any t-shirts you would like to find that have a certain film/TV programme on it? For the My plans for tonight involve putting up the Christmas tree, watching Die Hard (I really feel like watching this film for some reason) and then washing my hair. A very glamorous routine I'd say ;) What is your plan for tonight? ♥
