Black & Nude Nails ♥

Okay, after looking at my poor attempt of painting nails, I think you will all finally understand why I don’t do more nail tutorials… My apologies girls haha ;) I don’t know why I’m so terrible at painting my nails! Its like I can’t sit for 10 minutes to wait for them to dry, I have to do something and then they get smudged. Like right now for example, my nails still aren’t completely dry but I am still typing anyway…sigh. Anyway, if you are a tiny bit interested in taking my French manicure style twist and improving it then let me know what you come up with! :) I really liked the idea of having a nude base and then using a matte black on the tip. I am in love with CafĂ© Culture No.63 by beauty UK. It has a subtle touch of shimmer to it which is quite different from my other nudes nail varnishes. The black I used is by the fabulous Barry M, I don’t know what UK girl doesn’t have at least 5 nail varnishes by them in their drawer. The clear nail varnish is by Laura Paige, it came with a French manicure kit but it’s got lost under my bed somewhere or more likely, my sister has stolen the white and pink shades -_- siblings!

Again, my apologies for my poor nailmenship…(like penmanship – but with nails ;) – boom!) one day I may master the special skill of being able to paint nails...-_- Anyway, today has been spent drinking hot chocolates and doing uni work. I’ve managed to write and finish a feature on using kitchen products as beauty items. I’m thinking of including some of them on here after I’ve finished editing it! :) The best friend Harri has popped round and we’re just about to watch The Swan Princess – she’s never seen it?! What’s wrong with her! It has got slightly quiet because she knows what I’m typing…still, my point stands. Why hasn’t she seen the Swan Princess before?! I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and this week I’ll have Louise back, (the housemate), so she can get back to her photo taking job of me wearing new outfits. Have a good week girls!

  1. I always used to smudge my nails too, such a pain. You should really get your hands on some Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat or Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, both dry the nails in under a minute, I would honestly be lost without them.

  3. Love the manicure even with the smudges. The colours look great together.

I'm the same, I get to a point and then I have to do something and then smudge.
Apparently plunging them into ice cold water drys them quick.
