Topshop Autumn/Winter 2011 ♥

Hey girls, hope you've had a good weekend!
I spent mine watching season 1 to 3 of Sex and the City. I cannot get enough of it.
Even though I have never understood how Carrie could afford all of those Manolo Blahnik's...

Anyway, I did my daily Topshop website browse and I thought I would make an Autumn/Winter post.
I think we can expect peach and corals to be a key trend colour for next season and I can't wait!

I think these picks slightly have a hint of summer to them, but they have all just been added to the Topshop website, so that's good enough for me ;)
Although I'm not sure it goes too well, I would happily wear the knitted top with the pocket skirt.
& definitely with the chunky stilettos.
Maybe when I see this post tomorrow, I'll be like..Whatttt..No?!?!
I do try don't I? haha ;)

Anyway, I hope you like my favourite picks.
Found any nice Autumn/Winter stuff on Topshop recently?

Beauty Wish List ♥

Lets just take a moment of silence to stare at this beautiful collection. A mix between Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and a dash of MAC is currently on my July wish list.
I don't even want to know what this would all add up to. I guess the only way I can fill my hunger is to just look at the pretty pictures.
One day Jade, one day.

Although it's slightly odd, the thing that I would pick would be the OPI nail varnish - that's a bit strange right?! I have been dying to get a hold of the Katy Perry colour - Teenage Dream.

Anyway, let me know what you think.
What is on your beauty wish list right now?

My Diet Tips ♥

I've been getting a few emails about how I stay in shape so I came up with this little blog post ;) Now I am no where near an expert on keeping healthy but I do make sure it a priority.

I'm 5'5 and currently 8 stone.
I do a hour on the trampoline every night - my neighbours hate me.
I also take my dog to the woods for half an hour.
I should focus on my stomach because it is far from flat but..I hate sit ups with a passion!!
I don't drink fizzy drinks and if I do it's a small glass. Fizzy drinks make me pretty bloated because of the sugar. I drink lots of milk and water though.
I'm pretty bad at having breakfast..I always skip it! But when I do, I make sure I add fruit to it.
Lunch is probably couscous or a sandwich and dinner is whatever my mum makes. I'm pretty lucky because my mum cooks quite a lot of healthy food.

Anyway before I get to my little tips, I just wanted to show you how I do my couscous.

You will need:
Couscous
A mix of vegetables (Up to you what you want)
Salt
Pepper
Lime/lemon juice
vinegar
Virgin olive oil
Garlic puree
A tiny bit of soy sauce (Optional)

Put the couscous in a bowl
Add boiling water so it covers all of it, then put a tea towel over it.
Cut up all your vegetables and after 5 minutes get your couscous.
Add the olive oil first then mix in the rest of the salt and etc.
Then mix all the vegetables in and voila!

The best thing about this is it can leave you full for hours and won't make you crave anything else.

My little tips are:

♥ Eat everything in moderation
♥ Drink as much water as you can
♥ Add fruit & vegetables to everything!
♥ Keep as active as possible
♥ I always keep pictures of celebrity figures I like - that way it makes me think twice before ordering everything from Pizza Hut..for just myself 0=]
Do dance work out videos - I love them! Pump it up by the Ministry of sound is great!
♥ Don't eat anything too heavy before you're about to go to bed
♥ Remember that you don't need to change your size for anyone.
♥ Being stick thin isn't everything - I'd still rather be a nice person on the inside too :)

Let me know if you have any diet tips!

The Dress Collection ♥

This is just a quick post showing my going out dresses. Some of them range from Lipsy to Topshop and Rare and some of them are about 4 years old. I have a garden party next week and I'm going to wear the second dress because it's supposed to be quite posh attire ;)

I've been pretty busy this week, I've been at work and trying to do research for my final major project.

What have you guys been up to this week?
Buy any new dresses to add to your collection?

Marilyn Monroe Beauty Tips & Tricks ♥

I was doing my normal make up routine this morning and I was thinking how I learnt to do my make up. Looking at Youtube videos and learning from friends has really shaped the way I apply my own make up. I think it's quite a extraordinary thing that make up tips have been passed down through the ages and it has affected the way we use our own make up today.

This post will just be about some tips and tricks used by iconic the iconic Marilyn Monroe.
Beware - some of these are quite odd...

♥ The beautiful Marilyn used to put olive oil on her skin to create a smooth feeling complexion.

Nowadays, we can use Nivea skin cream.

♥ Marilyn always wore false lashes..She would have them cut in half and just put at the outer corner of each eye. This would make her eyes appear larger.

♥ Apparently, Marilyn never used black eye liner. She only ever used brown.

♥  Her favourite perfume was Chanel No. 5

♥ Marilyn's eyebrows were always shaped at a distinctive arch.

♥ Marilyn's make up artist would apply red lip liner to the inside corner of her eye to make her eyes stand out more - strange I know.

♥ Contouring was very important in Marilyn's make up routine. She didn't like her nose, so that was heavily contoured as well as her forehead and cheek bones.

Marilyn has and always will be one of my favourite icons and I admire her strong independence, even though she was vulnerable at the same time.

She definitely was one in a million.

Who Likes Short Shorts? ♥

Hi girls, I hope you're having a good weekend! I just wanted to say a big thank you for everyone who helped me decide what outfit to wear last night.

I ended up wearing outfit A, which was the black blazer and white strap top. I took all of your advise and wore a chunky gold necklace with it and painted my nails bright pink. I got so many compliments about the whole outfit!

I took some photos of it and I'm going to make a separate post just about the outfit details :)

Anyway, I went shopping with my best friend today to help him find some presents for his girlfriend..It's their two year anniversary tomorrow!

This is the outfit I put together for the shopping trip - Beware it's very Primark ;)

Top: £4 Primark
Bag: £45 USC
Blazer: £14 Primark
Pumps: £6 New Look
Shorts: £10 Primark
Jewellery: £1.50 Primark

I'm going to make a post about the shorts because when I first bought them, they had white lace and gems on the bottom.

I am very proud to say that I used my ancient textiles skill of unpicking and then I ripped the ends a little bit. I really like how they've turned out!

Have you customised anything recently?

Okay girls, here's the drill. I'm going out tomorrow night to a bar and I want to wear these fake leather shorts. They were only £5 from Primark!

Anyway, I've made these outfits with them but now I can't decide what one I want to wear!
So I was thinking that you guys could help me out!

Don't worry, I'll be adding some tan to those pale legs of mine 0=]

Just write a,b or c for you're favourite outfit and the one that gets picked the most, I'll wear tomorrow night :)

Festival Chick ♥

Hi girls! This morning after much deliberation, I decided to do a themed outfit post. I'm starting to think that I need to widen my outfit looks that I make. All I seem to do is make first dates, shopping trips and going out outfits.

Which is great, but I think I need to include a variety so that you guys can see something you like!

So voila, I thought of doing a festival look! What do you think? I used Prodigy Red for all the items because I am currently obsessed with them! Seeing as I have zero funds at the moment, Prodigy Red lets me shop without feeling as guilty.

I know we've all had that shopping guilt girls!

Anyway, this is what I've come up with! Wellington boots are essential for festivals - especially when it's been raining

Then add a small strap bag with the essential items:
money ♥ lip glossphonekeys ♥ mini deodorant ♥ body spraymints

What is your essential festival outfit?

July Wish List ♥

This is just a quick post that shows off this collection of little beauties. There's a big mixture of River Island, Alexander McQueen and All Saints.

The nude shorts are £25 from River Island, aren't they gorgeous?! Pairing them with any of those heels above, would be an outfit to watch out for - definitely perfect for a going out look.

The skirt is from All Saints and as I was looking on their website, there is something really distinctive about their clothing range. I can't put my finger on it! This skirt reminds me of the Aztec dress I showed a few posts before. Both gorgeous.

Now the bags..where do I begin? The pink and orange bag is from Asos and my oh my. Isn't it pretty! Asos have outdone themselves yet again. The Asos link goes straight to the bag ;)

And every wish list I have ever made on here has to include Alexander McQueen. His designs will never lose my interest and it still makes me sad that we lost such a talented and inspirational designer. The fushia pink clutch purse is beyound gorgeous and I wish I could afford it!

Let me know if you want any details of the wish list ;)

What's on your hit list this month?

I Envy You Tumblr Girls.

I've recently been looking at Tumblr's this weekend and wow..there is totally a common theme here! Most of the Tumblr's I was looking at were made by American girls.

Skinny - Gorgeous - Tanned - Long haired American girls -_-

I am sooooooo jealous! You all look amazing and wear the most beautiful outfits which aren't made of much material may I add...I want to be an American Tumblr girl! It's not fair!

This outfit was inspired by them..tiny denim hot pants - check, big wedges - double check and how can you forgot the tiny bralet tops?!
Then add a tropical tan and voila! I'm looking out of my window now and it's raining so much that I think I'm going to have to start collecting two of every animal - so much for my tropical tan...

Here are some of my favourite pictures that I found from Tumblr. I don't own anything!

I'm tempted to insert my face in the background of these pictures - just to feel included...hahaha 0=]
Aren't these girls gorgeous?!

What I've Learnt ♥

What I've learnt about myself so far this year:
♥ I'm capable of being a grown up
♥ I can achieve anything as long as I stick to it and don't spend all my time in bed...
♥ I don't need him
♥ I have to be comfortable with myself before I fall in love again
♥ My mum and dad can hear me when I do funny voices to my dog...
♥ I'm the happiest I've ever been - even if it hurt getting there
♥ I don't need to eat just because I'm bored
♥ I deserve a successful career as well as everyone else
♥ I still would choose love over money
♥ I'm alone, not lonely - there's a difference
♥ I'd rather be with just me right now, than with someone who doesn't treat me right anyway
♥ Girls run the world
& finally - that I am Wonder Woman and I can kick some ass when I need to ;)

What is your "What I've learnt" list?

Just a Little Blue Dress ♥

A few posts ago, I told you all that I bought this blue dress from Topshop. It was originally £49.99 (I think I thought it was £50 something at first) but I got it for £25.00 in the sale! I am usually terrible at finding things in the sale. To me, it feels like going to a jumble sale.

Anyway, this is what it looks like on..I really like it because it's a bit more classic looking than my other dresses. I bought this £6.00 bag from Primark to make it pop a little bit. I really like the electric blue and bold orange clash thing!

I think they do it in a few more colours as well.
The clutch is such a nice size and has two sides inside the bag so I can find everything easier.

Do you like colour clashing your outfits and accessories?

& Then There Were 3..

Good evening girls! I hope you've all had a nice productive day...unlike me who has been eating Walkers crisps all afternoon. Why do I do this to myself?! One packet should be enough Jade!

Anyway..I was just on the Daily Mail website and saw my favourite trio of the Girls Aloud group, (From left, Kimberly, Cheryl and Nicola), how amazing do they look?!
It's quite odd that they all wore these jeans around the same time too..Very girl group power!

I snooped around a few clothing websites and Miss Guided satisfied my fashion stalking urge.

I think my favourite look out of the three is Nicola's -I'm a huge leather jacket groupie.
At only £26.99, that's not too shabby!

What is your favourite colour?

£12.99 For Palazzo Trousers?...Yes Please! ♥

Good afternoon girls, I hope you're all having a nice day so far! This is just a little outfit post about the latest trend to be hitting the high street this season.

These trousers scream off duty Hollywood and allow you to look glam while being comfortable at the same time!

The key to this look, depending on the pattern of your palazzo trousers, is to keep your top simple. A plain black or white strap top is a perfect finish to this outfit. Don't forget to grab a large pair of Jackie Onassis sunglasses and you're good to go!

Kourtney Kardashian looks flawless in this outfit and her gold, chunky belt creates a nice texture between the top and bottoms. A big belt is a great way of spicing up palazzo trousers especially if they are just one colour.

ProdigyRed.com has a large variety of palazzo trousers that they've just added to their site.

I have added a link to their website just on the left sidebar :)

Take a look and tell me what you think!

Thank God You Blew It, Thank God I Dodged The Bullet ♥

Hi girls, sorry I haven't posted in a while! It's been another lazy week. I find it quite hard to believe how lazy I am sometimes. I could just live lying in my bed forever if I could get away with it. Right now I am..in bed ;) & I've just made myself pizza with..guacamole sauce :D

YUMMY!!

Right now, all it feels like I'm doing is eating and sleeping. This week I'm going to try and do at least 2 blog posts everyday and focus on my 3rd year work.

I bought this cute little clutch bag from Primark for only £6.00 and this electric blue dress from Topshop, it was £50 something but I got it for £25!! Wooooooo :)

Now,  I can explain that large lobster..I went to this Chinese supermarket the other day and it was amazing! I love Chinese food and seeing a giant room filled with every type of Chinese restaurant ingredient imaginable, made my mouth water.

We bought a giant bag of prawn crackers that you can fry and eat straight away..So yummy! There was loads of crabs and lobsters there to..I had to take a quick photo of that haha.

And of corse, I had Macdonalds this week. I'm just obsessed with food!

Anyway, I just watched Beyonce's new video and I loved it! That wedding dress is beautiful..and I am so jealous of how amazing she looks. I really feel like I know Beyonce, because I grew up listening to Destiny's child when I was just 13 years old. I haven't stopped listening to their music since :)

Who did you listen to growing up?

I, I Love You Like A Love Song Baby ♥

Hey girls, hope you're having a good week! This is just a little post I'm doing before I do more of my third year research. I know I've got a while until I start third year, but I'm trying to get a head start..for once!

Today has been pretty boring..The highlight of my day was probably watching Sleeping Beauty.
Is it bad that I would rather be in the 14th century than now? The idea of falling in love with a handsome prince just after singing with him for 3 minutes sounds very appealing to me for some reason.

The whole "& they lived happily ever after..." makes me frown at how "romantic" the boys I know are.. Might I add that she was married at 16 years old..I'm 20 and can't see myself having another boyfriend for at least..well a while haha.
I wish life was like a fairytale!

Anyway, I just wanted to show you a song that I cannot stop listening to. You've probably all heard it and I'm just really behind.. Selena Gomez looks beautiful in the video! Her make up is perfection..she does look slightly too young to be wearing that much though..I still just see her as just 16!

Do you wish boys were more like Disney Princes or do you prefer how they are now?
