Maxi Dresses ♥

I've already started looking at maxi dresses for this summer, I have to admit that I was too scared to pull of this trend last year. But I recently went into Primark and saw a gorgeous camel coloured maxi dress for only £9.00. I'm going into town tomorrow to try it on in case it does fit and I know I'm supposed to be careful with my money, but I am in desperate need of clothes!

To wear these beautiful dresses, I would probably match it with a pair of sandals, a cropped denim jacket, sunglasses and a over sized bag. I always pin a fake flower to my denim jacket.
Don't ask...haha.

Anyway, if I do buy the maxi dress, I'll make sure to take lots of pictures to show you. I'm just worried that I'll be too short to pull of the look...I'll admit that I've never tried a maxi dress on before!!

What do you think is the must have clothing for summer?

Yoga Anyone?

Good evening girls! I hope you are all having a good weekend already! I've had a pretty busy day today, I had uni from 10 to 4. I never have uni for a whole day! I think it was a shock to my system actually haha.
It's to nice to be all up to date with my work though, I feel very proud! All my house mate's have gone home for a few days this weekend so it's just little old me.

Anyway, the main thing I wanted to talk to you about is Yoga.
Yep, I went to a class yesterday by myself...I was supposed to go with the girls but I think they were all pretty busy. The class was only for a hour and I have to say, my overall impression of it is: Amazing! I enjoyed it so much, that I will definitely be going next week!

I first went into the hall and met the yoga instructor. She was nice and friendly and asked the basics about if I had any health conditions etc. (I haven't.) Anyway, we started off on our mats by stretching our bodies slowly. I was a bit wobbly at first..I'm naturally really flexible but I am terrible when it comes to balance!
We did most of the common postures:
  • The tree
  • The lotus
  • The cobra
  • The triangle
  • The downward facing dog
  • The warrior stances
After we did all of these, we had a 5 minute relaxation period where we relaxed all of our muscles.
The yoga instructor played calming music while we laid down and I can't remember even feeling so calm and peaceful!

To be honest, I have always thought that yoga wouldn't have a good enough effect your figure but I woke up this morning and WOW. My whole body is aching from all of the postures I did yesterday! Imagine how toned my figure would be if I actually did this for years!

I definitely can't wait for next weeks class, I have also cut out all junk food too so hopefully,I will be toned by the summer.
I definitely recommend taking yoga, it is perfect for women and men who don't really get on well with extreme sports. Loads of celebrities are fans of yoga too! Such as Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Madonna and Natalie Portman.

If anyone starts, we should tell each other about our progress, week by week! =]

Bikini body anyone? ;)

Innocent Shopping Trip..

Hey girls, it feels like I haven't posted in ages! I hope your all having a good week. First of all, I would like to say R.I.P to the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor. She sadly passed away this morning due to heart failure.
I remember when I was younger, I used to look at pictures of her and try and copy her make up. Not only was she an incredible actress, she was also one of the most breath taking actresses to ever grace the screen. I hope to age just as gracefully and as beautifully as she did.

On a less sadder note, I wanted to show you the little bits I got from town today. I promised my lovely mother to not spend any money due to being a poor student. So I might have slightly bent the rules a little, by buying a few things today. But in my defence, eye lash glue and a bracelet doesn't exactly scream "I will be killed by my mother now".

Anyway, I saw this eyelash glue by Eylure and at first I thought it would be something stupid like £6.00 or £8.00 but to my amazement, it was only £2.60! I haven't used it yet, but when I do I'll tell you if it was any good or not.
LOVE the price so far though.
The next thing I bought was a gorgeous snake bracelet for only £2.00 at Primark. It reminds me of Eygptians and I already don't want to take it off.

The other news I wanted to tell you is...I'm starting Yoga classes tomorrow! I am so excited! I've been wanting to get in shape for ages now, but I have always been too lazy. But I am seriously going to focus on getting in shape for the summer. I'm currently 8 stone at the moment and I'm fine with that weight but I really just need to tone up.

I'll tell you how it goes!

Love Sucks...♥

Hello lovers, I know I promised to do a What's In My Make-Up Bag post, but I blame the Vampire Diaries for distracting me. That's right, I have been watching that fabulous programme for days now and I have been very distracted from everything. Which includes doing a new post for you all. But to make it up to you, I've done a vampire related posted. Muhaha! ;)

I even made a little montage up there, just so you can see how vampire obsessed I am. Now, before I started to watch Vampire Diaries last year, I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I was just nine years old. Now that's a true fan right there!

My first crush was actually Angel, who was played by David Boreanaz...Wasn't I cute?
Anyway, the question I'm asking you today is...

Who was your first crush from a TV/Film?

Thanks...Have A Cupcake! ♥

Wow, I officially have 100 followers! Now I know that's not a crazy amount, but the fact that you gorgeous girls take the time to look at my crazy ramblings about Primark and Cheryl Cole means a lot to me. And to say thankyou, I'm giving you an imaginary cupcake. That's right, if I could hand deliver you all this same pink Princess cupcake, then I would. I know, I know I'm too generous. Next time you happen to eat a cupcake, just pretend I hand delivered it to say thankyou =]

I'm just about to shower and get up for work tomorrow, but I will make sure I have a new exciting post for you all..I think I'm going to do a What's in My Make Up Bag. VERY exciting ;)
Just imagine eating that bad boy! ;)

"Trust Me, That's The Price Of Beauty"

Here is Selena Gomez's new single "Who says". I love it! You should definitely listen to it when your feeling a bit down, she is such a good inspiration!
I'm just off to uni to attempt to do some work, but I'm going to do a few posts later on today.

Who says you’re not perfect
Who says you’re not worth it
Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting
Trust me
That’s the price of beauty
Who says you’re not pretty
Who says you’re not beautiful

Off-Duty Hollywood Look ;

Here is a cute little look I made for the "celebrity Hollywood" effect. Nothing that creative, but I think it looks quite cute.
As sad as it is to admit this, I really want a photo of me walking to a car holding Starbucks with big shades on. It looks oh so Hollywood don't you think? ;) I'm sad, I know...

For the top, I couldn't decide between that one and a corally coloured vest top. Both do the "effortless celeb" look justice though. I think the key thing to learn for this type of look is you want it to look like your just running to the shops but 50 paparazzi are following you.
Over sized sunglasses are a must for this look!

For the make-up, I definitely recommend flawless skin but natural coloured lips. A simple lip gloss would do the trick. L'Oreal are perfect for doing natural coloured shades. They are usually £6.00 to £8.00.
I looked at a few pictures of Kim Kardashian for this one and I saw her wearing the exact same Louboutin's heels. They are amazing!

Don't even get me started on the Starbucks though...Totally Hollywood ;)

Glamour, Pajamas and Nail Polish ;

Hey girls, hope your all having a good week. This is just my week in pictures so far, I have to admit the majority of the photos were of food...I'm very embarrassed to say that food makes me a lot happier than it should do.

Anyway, I keep forgetting to take photos of my outfits! I'll make sure I remember tomorrow, right now I've currently got a towel wrapped around my head and panda eyes - not exactly Vogue material haha.

From left, the latest Glamour magazine where I got a free Clinique lipstick - not too shabby! Top right, little pajama shorts I bought from Primark for £4.50. It came with a cute pink vest top but I spilt food down it...

The second row are two No 7 nail polishes. They are usually £7.00 each but I got them both for £4.00 because of a handy little voucher at Boots. The blue one is my favourite because it reminds me of the M.A.C Wonder Woman collection!
Then next is a sleeping mask I bought from Claire's for £4.00. I had to go to a pajama party so I thought I'd make a little bit of effort.

Underneath that is my Primark leopard print jacket. Isn't it pretty? I realised today that I won't be able to wear it in the summer, so it made me slightly sad.
Next to that is some mints that my best friend got me from when she went to New York. I'd do ANYTHING to visit New York!!!

Then the next row is my cute key ring that one of my best friends won me when we visited an arcade. How cute! The last picture is of KFC's limited edition The Godfather meal - Yum!

Trust me though, I had to delete many pictures of food from this...

Spring Trend: Cutout

Hello fellow bloggers, I'm just doing a quick post on an upcoming trend for the spring.
The "cutout" trend, has always been a favourite of mine and now that it's back this season, you should all be rushing to the shops to invest in it!
If I could describe the cutout trend in three words, they would be: romantic, delicate and girly.

The reason why I love this trend so much, is that the possibilities are endless for creating outfits with this look. I especially love the cream and nude tones that are often associated with this trend. Here are a few items that I have put together, I hope you like it!
Remember that the key element of this look is feminine and delicate. We don't want anything drastic like black nail polish or chunky knee high boots to unbalance this outfit.

This is a very laid back trend, you have to leave anything edgy at the door. Tell me what you think, do you like it, do you hate it?!

Party Like A Rockstar, Shake It Like A Porn Star.

Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all well. You should all be proud, that I've come back from work today and haven't fallen asleep for hours. I'm getting better! Anyway, this is just a little outfit I put together. Isn't it gorgeous?! It could even go well with black tights, to make it less edgy. I want it so much! My sister has a skirt like this from H&M, but I don't think they sell it anymore =[ EBay here I come...

I added the bracelets with a hint of pink on them, to bring a little bit of freshness to it. I really think it's a sexy outfit! Definitely going to be hunting for something more affordable.
The bag however, is from River Island, so there is so hope for us to get an outfit like this. Plus, any basic white top would go well with a skirt like this. Something pretty loose fitted though, we do want to leave something for the imagination!

You can definitely wear this for summer and winter if you wanted to. I'll tell you if I find any skirts on EBay...Fingers crossed!
Also, I'm printing my Victoria Secret magazine this week! Wish me luck girls...I'll try and post it on my portfolio page when it's all done.

You Couldn't Keep Your Hands To Yourself.

I am such an idiot.
I finished work at 1 today and my plan was to rush back home and finish a few features that I had to do. It seems like a smart plan right? If only I didn't fall asleep as soon as I sat on my bed, when I got in. I have just opened my eyes and it is now approximately 10.39 p.m. Really?!..I slept for nearly 10 hours!
I really need to make my bed less comfortable...

Anyway, how is everyone? I hope your all having a good weekend. I just wanted a little music related post today on one of the songs I cannot stop listening.
It's called You Lost Me, from Christina Aguilera's Bionic album. Now I know this song was released last summer, but I truly believe that this whole album is underrated. I have never related to a song as much as this one. It is incredibly beautiful and powerful.
Right, I'm going to go downstairs and have sesame prawn toast for a 11.00 clock dinner and get up for work tomorrow...Fabulous!

Definitely take a look at Christina's song though. I can't describe how heart warming and sad it is. I'll post a link down below from de la Youtube. Enjoy!

Now I know you're sorry and we were sweet
But you chose lust when you deceived me
And you'll regret it, but it's too late
How can I ever trust you again?

I feel like our world's been infected
And somehow you left me neglected
We've found our lives been changed
Babe, you lost me

The Devil Wears...

I've just watched the fabulous film, "The Devil Wears Prada" and it has inspired me to show off a couple of outfits that I would LOVE to put together, if I could afford them. The key to these trends is that they help flatter any body type and create sophistication.

Layering and accessorising is the key to make an outfit stand out. Anyone can put on skinny jeans and a blouse, but a fashionista knows that a pair of Topshop stilettos and sunglasses accompanied with an over sized hand bag, will take that outfit to the next level.
Let's start taking notes ladies...

Outfit Suggestion Number 1.
Outfit Suggestion Number 2.

Both of these outfits have the same high waisted chinos as the main element, as you can see they can be dressed or even worn for business attire. Accessories really do determine the perception of an outfit and of course I included stiletto heel's for both looks, I do believe strengthens an outfit.

"Beauty Sleep" ♥

Okay, I'm just about to have an early night for a change, so I thought I'd tell you how I do my skin care routine before I get into bed.
Now, I never used to be very fussed about my skin when it comes to going to sleep, but moisturising it is vital if you want a clear and healthy complexion.
The first thing I do is:
  • Remove all my make-up with a make-up remover wipe.
Be very gentle around the eye area. This is the most delicate part of your face. Clean & Clear do a great range of skin care products.
These are usually £3.75 from your local drugstore.
  • Gently apply eye cream afterwards to keep them bright and healthy looking.
  • Applying moisturiser all over the face and neck is definitely a good way to help prevent breakouts and to help your skin stay smooth and healthy looking.
This is my favourite moisturiser to use, it's perfect for my oily skin.
Plus, it's only £2.09 from Superdrug.
You'll wake up feeling fresh and healthy after your "beauty sleep".

     I won't tell anyone if you won't.

Pretty In Pink..♥

Here is another little doodle I created, even though I think the term "doodle" means drawing... Hmm I might need to rethink that. I love the nude, babydoll top from Topshop, if I had this, I would probably try and wear it as a dress - bad i know. Don't even get my started on the heels, aren't they to die for?

Anyway, how has everyone been?! It feels like I haven't been on here in ages! I would like to say I've been busy doing uni work, but eating food and sleeping sounds a bit more realistic. Why can't I do anything exciting nowadays?!

I'm really excited about doing my Victoria Secret magazine tomorrow..I don't think I'm a very serious editor..I need to be fussier and meaner I think. I can't wait to show you guys, the final thing though! I'm currently trying to do my 1,000 word article on Summer trends at the moment.
Word count: 94
Distracted by Facebook & blog: 1203

I'm currently listening to the song Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, I don't think it can get any better than this. It definitely has wedding song potential.
Although the thought of weddings depress me...

What song would you have for your first dance?

Outfit of The Day & Lunch At Yates ♥

Okay, where do I begin? Lets start from the top. The outfit is completely Primark, I wish I could impress you with saying it's French Connection or ALL Karen Millen, but unfortunately being a poor student, Primark is as extravagant as I can get nowadays.
I usually wear the green trousers (£13.00), with a cropped black leather jacket to match Cheryl's outfit. (Sad I know).

Anyway, I really like the black boots with the trousers as it gives it a more glam effect. The boots I adore, I actually bought two pairs of them so I could wear them for longer. They were only £15.00 aswell, I need to take better pictures of them... The blouse was only £8.00, so that is not too shabby in my book. The large nude chain bag is also from Primark, it was only £7.00 so an entire outfit for £43.00 is pretty amazing!

The picture of my eye make is not fantastic....but for my first post with my terrible camera skills, it could be worse. Anyway, I know I need urgent help with my eyebrows but I am trying to grow them. I want them slightly thicker and more shaped. I might go to a salon for them!

The rest of the pictures are just when me and Louise went to Yates with her boyfriend Scott and Graham. I ate an incredible amount, but the sad thing is I am STARVING again even though it's nearly half 2 in the morning...great!

Anyone have any tips to help my tragic eyebrows? Hahaha :)

I Want...

Here is just a little something I made, isn't it pretty?! I would kill for an outfit like this. I think I'm going to make some goals for this month, which include buying some leather pants. I just love the word...leather pants. TOTALLY american ;)

1. Find that faux leather H&M dress that I mentioned a few posts ago.
2. Find some sexy leather trousers..OR pants ;)
3. Try and curl my hair like Miss. Kardashian up there.
4. Carry a bottle of water with me at ALL times.
5. Ohh and finish all my uni work...

Do you have any goals for this month?

Pin Me Up..

Okay, this is just a quick post for you girls, because i've been sitting on my laptop for hours trying to do an exhibition review for the V&A museum. My brain doesn't seem to be working today. Sleep is a nice plan right now, anyway I just wanted to share with you a video that I cannot stop watching. It's by one of my favourite make-up gurus, Pixi2woo. She is absolutely gorgeous and is incredible at doing make-up. Definitely check her Youtube account, i'll put a link down below.

Here is the video I was telling you about, it's a recreation of the 1950s sex symbol: Jayne Mansfield. The thing I love about this look is that it's flawless and classy. I would do anything to have the same features as Marilyn Monroe or Jayne! I tried doing this make-up look a few months ago, but it didn't look very glamourous...maybe i'll have to practice more.

Anyway, here are the links. Enjoy!

Pretty Please?!...

Ahh, how gorgeous is this ensemble?! Yes, that is an Alexander McQueen clutch purse and a certain Cheryl Cole may have one similar...I haven't spoken about her since four whole posts okay? I'm allowed to today.

This outfit is just gorgeous, the dress is from H&M but they don't sell it anymore. Feel sorry for me okay? MAC have just released a Wonder Woman range inspired by the gorgeous blue eyed beauty and I am dying to buy something from it!

I might start investing in the lottery...

Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?

I was supposed to be getting showered at this point, getting an early night before work tomorrow but I found myself Youtube searching. I remember coming across this trailer a few months ago and seeing as I'm blog girl now I thought it would make an interesting post.

This film is supposed to be out in March and directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who directed Twilight. I will definitely be seeing this film! It stars the beautiful Amanda Seyfried with her equally beautiful co-star Shiloh Fernandez.

Forget the wolf - I want to eat him!

Here is the synopsis, if my perving hasn't put you off yet...

In "Red Riding Hood," Seyfried plays Valerie, a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider, Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life.

What do you think so far?

Pucker Up..

I've decided to be good & boring tonight, seeing as I have work at 9 tomorrow...but this is just a quick post on the few little bits I bought today.

When I was walking to Argos to get those giant curlers (I'm typing that review up I promise!), I came across the market. What made me stop walking, was the huge stalls full of make-up. It reminded me of home in London, my grandad used to take me to markets when I was younger.
Anyway, I grabbed quite a few goodies and I saved £14.50. Yep, thats right I managed to get all Bourjois and L'Oreal brands by only spending £11. I'm very proud of myself...of corse, I would have been even more proud if I had just walked past the market stall all together.

Show Me Your Bra ;)

Okay, this is just a quick post before I run into town to get some huge curlers!
I'll be doing a review on them later. But in the meantime, I just wanted to tell you all that I'm editor in my class this week. I've decided to do a contract magazine on....Victoria Secret!

I'm going to try and create a online portfolio soon, but I just wanted to say that I'm really excited to do it. It gives me an excuse to talk about bras and Adriana Lima!
I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Sexy, sexy, sexy!

You Kiss By The Book..

I'm in a very strange mood today, I don't know whether it's because I've been playing Britney's "Everytime" for hours or if I need to get out of the house. I watched Baz Luhrmann's 1996 interpretation of Romeo and Juliet today too...

I think thats the reason my mood is so funny. As much as I love that film, it does annoy me with the whole concept of "true love". If only real men were like that...*sigh*

Maybe true romance is just as real as vampires who glitter...If that's true then I guess I'll be looking a bit more like Bridget Jones in 10 years time...
I guess it could be worse though, I could be Lucie Jones who is stuck on Take Me Out forever. I think the whole romance thing is just overrated and when I find the individual who created Valentine's day, I'll personally make them watch Titanic for hours and hours on end...
Okay, my little ramble is done. I'm turning off any romance related songs and films and will just eat my mood away...Cheese & bacon quiche anyone?

A little bit too realistic for my liking...

Cheryl Stalking Time..

We all know how obsessed I am with this beautiful creature and with her latest appearance at Elle Style Awards, I had to put my binoculars on...

Wearing a beautiful Alexander McQueen gown, Cheryl definitely stole the show with this little number. Could she get anymore perfect?! She won the award for best music while Tom Ford recieved the best international desginer. Emma Watson was given the award for style icon...but back to the main point - okay, okay style icon is a pretty important point, but let me have my Cheryl Cole stalking post pretty please?
I think it was a pretty daring move for Cheryl to wear red lipstick, but as always she looked effortless. Is there nothing this woman can't pull off?!

Cheryl wearing this gorgeous ensemble when she arrived in L.A. Why is her skin that flawless?!
