It's Barbie Bitch...

I'm currently listening to Nicki Minaj's new album, Pink Friday and I have to say that it is pretty amazing. I'm usually a total pop princess when it comes to music, but Nicki's album has just totally blown me away.
The way she raps her lyrics leaves you no choice but to listen from start to finish. One particular song that is constatnly on repeat at the moment is track 10. Here I Am.
The lyrics for this song are amazing!:

Now it's a joke, it's a game,
Why am I still keeping score?
I'm in pain, I'm ashamed
I'm a woman, hear me roar

This album is absolutely one to watch out for, any artist who can steer me away from my Britney album is definitely something special.

Fringe Fetish?!..

Okay, so i'm finally going back home to London after 6 whole months and I'm getting my hair done. I'm tired of having just long hair so, I'm going to be daring and get a fringe with short layers. After celeb stalking, I've found quite a few pictures on how I want it to look.
I'll take photos of my hair once I've had it done next week! Wish me luck!

Aye, Aye Sailor..

Okay so this is just a quick post about the FABULOUS video I found on youtube. It's from Dior's Spring/Summer collection at Paris Fashion week 2011. This collection has left me craving sailor outfits all week!
Now for the make up and hair, this is simply the fabulous fifties. Bold lips and hair that has been neatly curled then brushed out is definitely the latest trend.

I can't get enough of the first model that comes down the catwalk wearing platform ankle boots with thick white socks layering them. Also, she is wearing a white mac coat that screams sex appeal.
I might give the orange eye shadow a miss though...

Once Upon a Time...

Everyone is familiar with the beautiful story of Beauty and the beast, the fairy tale that Walt Disney changed forever with their incredible interpretation.
Finally, this 1991 hit is released on DVD for everyone to enjoy and as soon as the film starts, you are entranced by the beautiful illustrations and soundtrack.
As the narrator delivers his monologue about the spoilt prince being turned into a beast, you can’t help but notice how similar the opening is to the original Disney master pieces. Snow White and Cinderella are classic interpretations that were highly praised for their magical scenes and characters that Beauty and the Beast highly resemble.
Once we understand that the Beast must learn to love someone and earn their love in return, we are then introduced to the lead protagonist, Belle.
When Belle’s father goes missing after he leaves for an invention exhibition, Belle has no choice but to find him. Little does she know that her father is being held prisoner at the enchanted castle by the deadly Beast. With her loving father in mind, Belle asks to swap places with him.

You then see the magic that is Disney, when you a beautiful connection between Belle and the Beast is created. You gradually see the Beast start to open up and start to care about others all because of his growing love for Belle.
Now the reason why Beauty and the Beast is a more modern take of this classic fairy tale is because of how Belle is portrayed. Let’s get one thing straight - she is no damsel in distress.
She’s intelligent, independent and best of all, she believes in the beauty of a person’s personality. Not what their appearance looks like. This film is the perfect opportunity to show children this belief and what better way than to do it, than by Disney style. With hilarious characters and delightful musical numbers, Beauty and the Beast should definitely be on every child’s wish list.
As well as telling an important message throughout the film, it also allows you to relate to the characters and really start to feel for them.
To still keep the film fun for children, the servants of the Beast (who were transformed into house objects), provide much humour and laughter to film and are amazingly voiced.
Overall, Beauty and the Beast is definitely a film that should not be missed. It will belong in the Disney classics for generations and is enjoyable at any age. Touching, heartfelt and inspiring are definitely words to describe this 1991 master piece.

Flutter, Flutter...

Normally, I would buy 2true lashes that were only £1.95. They were incredibly easy to glue on and looked very natural. But unfortunately, they were all sold out. So I decided to be daring and browse the other brands. Finding a pair of eyelashes that were £13.00 was a bit too expensive for my liking but i came across Eylure Girls Aloud Lashes.
Once I got home to apply the lashes, I did notice the difference between my normal lashes. The shape of Cheryl's design was very extravagant and at the end of the lashes was more definition in length. The glue that came with the lashes was much easier to use than my regular eye lash glue. The perfect amount always came out of the pot. After waiting a few minutes to become "tacky" i slowly placed them on my eyes.

I'm very pleased with this product, the lashes made me eye's look two times bigger and they helped emphasize my smokey eye make up. I definitely recommend these particular lashes for a night out. They give you the ultimate sex kitten look and the best part is, they were easy to apply and they lasted all night without falling out of place.

Just Roll With It...

I had wanted Kim Kardashian's hair since I started watching "Keeping Up With the Kardashian's" on E!. It was just very Hollywood and glamorous and after seeing her wearing rollers I decided to invest in some.
The ones that had the best reviews and were at an acceptable price happened to be made by Babyliss. So after spending my well earned money, I bought the last one in stock from Argos for only £25.99.
After watching many different YouTube videos, I was pretty sure how to organise the size of the rollers in my hair.
To try and imitate Kim's gorgeous hair, I used the biggest rollers in the middle and the smallest at the bottom.
After I finally took all the rollers out, I thought my hair looked amazing. Just like Victoria Secret style but without the large amount of hair extensions and perfect shine...apart from that, I was very happy with the final look.
I'm tempted to replace my dying GHD's for heated rollers for a while. It's easy to use and creates an effortless Hollywood effect: Volume and loose curls.
I'll post some pictures soon of the finished look! =]
lets all pray for miss.kardashian's hair...

Prepare Yourself...

Okay, so i must admit it may be a tiny bit early to start getting ready for the summer...but as the strange but popular saying goes, "the early bird catches the worm". Applying this to fellow fashion lovers out there, I think it translates to: the more fabulous things you buy now, the more clothes you'll have before everyone else!

Now being a poor student, I decided to resort to the amazing Ebay. I worked out the other day, that I had saved around £300 with everything that I had bought. Typing this brings a smile to myself right now =]…

Anyway, I decided to go on a bikini hunt and I found this gorgeous River Island two piece bikini and the best part is, it was only £20. In the shop, it's actually worth £30.
When I tried it on, I fell in love with it instantly, it has a beautiful pattern on the fabric and the gold chain really makes it stand out.

It fits very well and definitely looks more than just a basic bikini and I adore how the gold chain makes it stand out.

This has to be one of my favourite purchases in a long time!
So what are you waiting for?! Get Ebaying fellow fashionistas!!
